Currently, clinicians cannot reliably predict which patients will experience these challenges.\n\nThis study uses MRI scan of the brain to investigate whether specific patterns of brain activity can predict patient satisfaction after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). By comparing brain networks before surgery and afterward, and linking these changes to patient-reported pain and function, we aim to identify brain-based markers that can help predict outcomes, to improve satisfaction after knee replacement surgery.",[27,28,29,30,31],"Knee Osteoarthritis (Knee OA)","Knee Pain Chronic","Brain Network Connectivity","Patient Satisfaction","Brain MRI","RECRUITING","2026-03-09",{"date":35,"type":36},"2026-03-11","ACTUAL",{"date":38,"type":21},"2026-04-01",{"date":40,"type":21},"2028-12-31",{"name":42,"class":43},"Ottawa Hospital Research Institute","OTHER",1,{"id":46,"slug":47,"hasResults":11,"nctId":48,"briefTitle":49,"officialTitle":50,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":51,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":54,"phases":4,"briefSummary":55,"conditions":56,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":32,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":60,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":61,"startDateStruct":63,"completionDateStruct":65,"leadSponsor":67,"locationsCount":44},"100526714","the-effects-of-anesthetics-on-brain-network-connectivity-in-patients-with-supratentorial-glioma-100526714","NCT06138340","The Effects of Anesthetics on Brain Network Connectivity in Patients With Supratentorial Glioma","The Alterations of Brain Network Connectivity Under Sedation and Anesthesia in Patients With Supratentorial Glioma","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Diagnosed as unilateral supratentorial glioma by MRI\n* Selective operation\n* Age over 18 years old\n* ASA I-II\n* Right handedness\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* History of cerebrovascular disease, brain trauma, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, or psychotropic drugs\n* History of intracranial surgery\n* Drug and\u002For alcohol abuse\n* History of dementia or mental illness\n* Pregnant or lactating women\n* Contraindications for MRI\n* Severe bradycardia (heart rate less than 40 beats per minute), sick sinus syndrome or second-to-third degree atrioventricular block\n* Severe hepatic or renal dysfunction",{"count":53,"type":21},120,"OBSERVATIONAL","Perioperative anesthesia can affect postoperative cognitive function. In our previous study, intraoperative dexmedetomidine (Dex) infusion reduced the incidence of delirium within the first 5 days after brain tumor. However, the mechanism is still unclear. With the development of neuroimaging, multimodal neuroimaging technology provide a new method to explore the underlying mechanism.
