This study looking to see if neurologic outcomes are improved with the addition of dexamethasone. CO poisoning can initiate a free radical mediated process that can instigate a demyelinating process resulting in long term neurological sequelae in some, but not all patients. In other demyelinating disorders, steroids are a part of first line treatment. HBO is already used for acute CO poisoning, so this pilot study will try to ascertain if the addition of steroids in concert with each hyperbaric oxygen session will yield improved outcomes.",[28,29,30,31],"Carbon Monoxide Poisoning","Carbon Monoxide Intoxication","Carbon Monoxide Encephalopathy","Carbon Monoxide-induced Parkinsonism","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-04-13",{"date":35,"type":36},"2026-04-17","ACTUAL",{"date":38,"type":21},"2026-07",{"date":40,"type":21},"2028-01",{"name":42,"class":43},"University of Nebraska","OTHER",1,{"id":46,"slug":47,"hasResults":11,"nctId":48,"briefTitle":49,"officialTitle":50,"acronym":51,"eligibilityCriteria":52,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":53,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":54,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":56,"phases":4,"briefSummary":57,"conditions":58,"keywords":59,"overallStatus":65,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":66,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":67,"startDateStruct":69,"completionDateStruct":71,"leadSponsor":73,"locationsCount":5},"100565405","evaluation-of-co-intoxication-rate-by-capillary-hbco-100565405","NCT06641752","Evaluation of CO Intoxication Rate, by CAPillary HbCO","Evaluation of the Accuracy of Capillary Versus Venous CO Measurement in Subjects With Suspected Carbon Monoxide Poisoning: a Prospective, Multicenter, Diagnostic, Controlled Study.","COCAP","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Adult patient admitted to emergency department\n* Presenting one or more clinical signs (asthenia, headache, nausea, vomiting, loss of consciousness, etc.) and a history compatible with CO intoxication (collective symptoms, notion of smoke, activation of a detector, etc.).\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Minors\n* Patients under protective supervision (safeguard of justice, curatorship, guardianship)\n* Incarcerated patients\n* Pregnant or breast-feeding women\n* Patients refusing to take part in the study","18 Years",{"count":55,"type":21},120,"OBSERVATIONAL","The main goal of COCAP is to compare COHb (carboxyhemoglobin) levels measured from venous or arterial samples with those measured from capillary samples in patients suspected of Carbon Monoxide intoxication.Patient participation in the study will be limited to capillary sampling (approx. 5-15 minutes).",[29],[60,61,62,63,64],"Intoxication","Carbon monoxyde","Carboxyhemoglobin","COHb","Carboxyhemoglobin capillary","RECRUITING","2025-12-02",{"date":68,"type":36},"2025-12-09",{"date":70,"type":36},"2025-02-05",{"date":72,"type":21},"2027-02-05",{"name":74,"class":43},"Nantes University Hospital"]
