Osteophytes (bone spurs) on the vertebral body.\n  2. Intervertebral disc space narrowing ≥ 25%.\n  3. Subchondral bone sclerosis.\n  4. Spondylolisthesis. - Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Diagnosis (Wind-Cold Syndrome) Patients must satisfy at least one primary symptom and reach a total symptom score of ≥ 50% based on the following criteria:\n* Primary Symptoms: Pain in the neck and shoulder radiating to the arm accompanied by numbness; pain is the dominant feature; pain increases with cold and decreases with warmth.\n* Secondary Symptoms: Aversion to cold, aversion to wind, cold extremities, and presence or absence of sweating.\n* Tongue and Pulse: Pale tongue with a thin white coating; floating-tight or slow pulse.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* History of neck trauma.\n* Diagnosed with specific bone or joint diseases: Rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, Down syndrome, cervical spina bifida, or Scheuermann's disease.\n* Severe motor or sensory radicular disorders: Muscle weakness or sensory disturbances such as burning, tingling, or numbness in the shoulder, arm, or hand.\n* Vertebral-basilar artery syndrome: Headache, dizziness, tinnitus, loss of balance, or fatigue.\n* Autonomic nervous system disorders: Pain accompanied by tinnitus, visual disturbances, or vasomotor disorders in the occipital-shoulder region or arms.\n* Central motor neuron lesions: Presence of Hoffmann's sign, Babinski's sign, hyperreflexia, spasticity, urinary\u002Ffecal incontinence, or sexual dysfunction.\n* Symptoms suggesting systemic or malignant disease: Unexplained weight loss, fever, loss of appetite, personal or family history of malignant tumors, or diffuse pain and stiffness.\n* Symptoms suggesting infection: Fever, meningeal signs, or photophobia.\n* Symptoms suggesting serious acute medical conditions: Myocardial infarction (chest pain + sweating + shortness of breath) or arterial dissection (tearing pain sensation + headache + blurred vision).\n* Local or systemic contraindications: Infection or ulceration at the acupuncture site; patients who are exhausted, emaciated, or suffering from severe accompanying internal medical diseases.\n* Substance abuse: Alcohol or drug addiction.\n* Recent medication use (within the past month): Currently using analgesics or anti-inflammatory drugs that may affect results, such as Opioids, NSAIDs, Corticosteroids, Gabapentin, Pregabalin, or tricyclic antidepressants.\n* Other ongoing treatments: Currently undergoing other therapies such as acupressure, massage, or physical therapy for the neck area.","ALL","18 Days",{"count":19,"type":20},74,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[23],"NA","Cervical spondylosis is a prevalent health issue that significantly impacts quality of life, with Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy (CSR) accounting for 60-70% of cases\n\n* While modern medicine offers various treatments, the frequent use of painkillers often leads to undesirable side effects\n* In Traditional Chinese Medicine, electroacupuncture is a safe and effective method recognized by the Ministry of Health for treating this condition\n* The \"Three-Needle Dazhui\" technique is a specialized acupuncture method that simultaneously uses three needles at the Dazhui (GV14) point to strongly activate Yang Qi and dispel cold, making it particularly suitable for the Wind-Cold syndrome. Age is 18-75 years old;\n2. Patients meets the diagnostic criteria of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy and the discomfort such as pain and numbness only radiates to one upper limb (unilateral);\n3. NRS score of the average 24h arm pain\u002Fnumbness in the last week was ≥4;\n4. The course of disease is ≥6 weeks;\n5. Patients voluntarily participate in the study and sign the informed consent.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n1. Those with tumors, connective tissue diseases, rheumatism, spinal cord diseases, fractures, vertebral dislocation, metabolic and endocrine diseases (paget's disease, osteoporosis), other neuropathy (peripheral neuropathy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, transverse myelitis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, brachial plexus neuropathy), vascular related diseases (carotid artery dysfunction, arteriovenous fistula or deformity), inflammation(rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis) and infectious diseases (osteomyelitis, abscess, discitis, Lyme disease, herpes zoster, meningitis), etc.\n2. Those with diseases such as scapulohumeral periarthritis, thoracic outlet syndrome, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc. that cause upper limb pain or discomfort;\n3. Those with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy whose condition is in a rapidly progressive stage;\n4. Those received systematic comprehensive conservative treatment fails for three months, the conservative treatment includes physical therapy (fixation, traction, manipulation, exercise, ultrasound and infrared), drugs (ibuprofen, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, gabapentin, pregabalin, antidepressants, etc.) and nerve block;\n5. The main questions it aims to answer are 1. Does acupuncture improve the pain intensity among patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy? 2. Does acupuncture treat cervical spondylotic radiculopathy safely? Researchers will compare acupuncture to sham acupuncture to see if acupuncture could improve symptoms among patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy. Experimental and control groups will be treated with 6 weeks of acupuncture or sham-acupuncture respectively.
