Its goals are to improve the clearance of bronchial secretions to allow for the resolution of atelectasis and alveolar recruitment, thereby enhancing respiratory mechanics and gas exchange. The most widespread technique in France is external expiratory compression of the chest.\n\nThe effectiveness of this technique depends on the selection of patients (it seems to be more effective in patients with higher secretion levels) and on the practical implementation of the technique (favoring brief and vigorous compressions at the beginning of expiration). However, the effect of the artificial ventilator settings, particularly the ventilatory mode used during the respiratory physiotherapy session, has never been evaluated. The two most commonly used ventilatory modes worldwide are Volume Assist Control Ventilation (V-ACV) and pressure support ventilation (PSV). In this unit, respiratory physiotherapy under artificial ventilation is performed daily on patients with artificial ventilation with abundant secretions, regardless of the ventilatory mode.",[28,29,30,31],"Intensive Care","Invasive Mechanical Ventilation","Chest Physiotherapy","Airway Clearance",[33,34,35,36,37,38],"ICU","Lung recruitment","Respiratory physiotherapy","Rib Cage Compressions (RCC)","mechanical ventilation","intensive care","RECRUITING","2026-01-14",{"date":42,"type":43},"2026-01-15","ACTUAL",{"date":45,"type":43},"2024-07-23",{"date":47,"type":22},"2027-06-23",{"name":49,"class":50},"Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris","OTHER",1,{"id":53,"slug":54,"hasResults":11,"nctId":55,"briefTitle":56,"officialTitle":57,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":58,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":59,"maxAge":60,"enrollmentInfo":61,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":62,"briefSummary":63,"conditions":64,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":39,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":68,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":69,"startDateStruct":71,"completionDateStruct":73,"leadSponsor":75,"locationsCount":51},"100582406","effect-of-chest-physiotherapy-on-clinical-outcome-of-infants-with-bronchiolitis-100582406","NCT06862895","Effect of Chest Physiotherapy on Clinical Outcome of Infants With Bronchiolitis","Effect of Chest Physiotherapy Educational Program on Mother's Knowledge, Practice and Clinical Outcomes of Infants With Bronchiolitis","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* 1\\.
