This intervention is based on the development of relaxation skills, particularly the practice of deep breathing, using virtual reality in conjunction with a biofeedback device. Specifically, it aims to assess the relevance of this tool both in learning relaxation techniques and in changing cognitions involved in pain adjustment, such as self-efficacy and pain catastrophizing.\n\nThe main hypothesis is that the intervention using virtual reality will lead to greater daily use of the relaxation techniques learned, as well as an increase in the associated self-efficacy, resulting in a reduction in headaches (in terms of frequency and intensity) both immediately after the intervention and two months later.\n\nA secondary hypothesis is that this intervention will contribute to a decrease in negative pain perceptions, pain catastrophizing, and functional disability.\n\nA tertiary hypothesis is that the intervention will lead to an improvement in the child's quality of life.\n\nThe effects of this intervention will be compared to those of a similar intervention without the use of virtual reality, as well as to a control condition in which only psychoeducation is provided.",[26,55,56],"Migraine","Tension Type Headache",[58],"Virtual Reality","2025-04-07",{"date":61,"type":33},"2025-04-10",{"date":63,"type":33},"2024-12-13",{"date":65,"type":20},"2027-12-31",{"name":67,"class":40},"University of Liege",{"id":69,"slug":70,"hasResults":11,"nctId":71,"briefTitle":72,"officialTitle":73,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":74,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":75,"enrollmentInfo":76,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":78,"briefSummary":79,"conditions":80,"keywords":82,"overallStatus":85,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":86,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":87,"startDateStruct":89,"completionDateStruct":91,"leadSponsor":93,"locationsCount":41},"100565738","the-impact-of-greater-occipital-nerve-and-stellate-ganglion-block-treatments-on-sleep-in-chronic-headache-management-100565738","NCT06646081","The Impact of Greater Occipital Nerve and Stellate Ganglion Block Treatments on Sleep in Chronic Headache Management","The Effects of Greater Occipital Nerve and Stellate Ganglion Blocks on Sleep Quality in Chronic Headache Patients: A Randomized Controlled Trial","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Chronic headache unresponsive to conservative treatment\n* Male and female population aged 18-50\n* No prior interventional procedures during the treatment process\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Coagulation disorders\n* Infections at the procedure site\n* Allergy to local anesthesia\n* Socio-cultural inadequacy\n* Mental retardation\n* Pregnancy\n* Previous interventional procedures\n* Patient refusal of interventional procedure\n* Use of any sleep-improving medication within the last month","50 Years",{"count":77,"type":20},86,[23],"This study aims to evaluate the effect of Greater Occipital Nerve and Stellate Ganglion block treatments on sleep in patients with chronic headaches.
