The latter, also translated as micro-ribonucleic acid, is a widely present ribonucleic acid (RNA) molecule in eukaryotes, approximately 21 to 23 nucleotides in length, which regulates the expression of other genes. miRNAs originate from RNAs that are transcribed from DNA but cannot be further translated into proteins (classified as non-coding RNA). miRNAs bind to target messenger RNA (mRNA), thereby inhibiting post-transcriptional gene expression, and play important roles in regulating gene expression, the cell cycle, and the timing of biological development. The project will recruit 300 subjects who have been diagnosed with cancer by a physician and for whom the decision has been made to use immunotherapy. Blood samples will be collected before and after treatment (past pathological diagnostic tissues may also be reviewed as required for the study). The study will analyze the differences in the quantity of free microRNAs, the number of circulating tumor cells, and the differences in surface antigen expression in the subjects' blood, as well as the specific surface antigen expression status in the cancer tissues, and perform statistical analysis.",[25,26,27],"microRNA","Circulating Tumor Cells","Immunotherapy",[29,30,27,25,31],"Cancer","Plasma","Circulating Tumor Cell","RECRUITING","2025-11-21",{"date":35,"type":36},"2025-12-03","ACTUAL",{"date":38,"type":36},"2018-05-23",{"date":40,"type":20},"2026-04-30",{"name":42,"class":43},"Chang Gung Memorial Hospital","OTHER",1,{"id":46,"slug":47,"hasResults":11,"nctId":48,"briefTitle":49,"officialTitle":50,"acronym":51,"eligibilityCriteria":52,"healthyVolunteers":53,"sex":16,"minAge":54,"maxAge":55,"enrollmentInfo":56,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":58,"phases":59,"briefSummary":61,"conditions":62,"keywords":66,"overallStatus":32,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":72,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":73,"startDateStruct":75,"completionDateStruct":77,"leadSponsor":79,"locationsCount":44},"100553613","in-vivo-liquid-biopsy-of-melanoma-cytophone-100553613","NCT06488365","In Vivo Liquid Biopsy of Melanoma (Cytophone)","In Vivo Liquid Biopsy for Early Detection of Metastatic Melanoma","Cytophone","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Histological documented diagnosis of melanoma;\n* Participants having provided informed consent with signature on informed consent form: the informed consent process should be complete with full discussion of all requirements and possible risks;\n* Must be able to sit for up to 60 minutes.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Unable to provide informed consent to participate in the study, such as a mental condition rendering the participant unable to understand the nature, scope, and possible consequences of the study;\n* Clinically relevant cardiovascular, hepatic, neurological (e.g., evidence of organic brain syndrome), endocrine, or other major systemic disease making implementation of the protocol or interpretation of the study results difficult or that would put the participant at risk by participating in the study;\n* Persistent significant or severe infection, either acute or chronic;\n* Pregnant or breast-feeding women or those who plan to become pregnant during the study;\n* Women of childbearing potential not protected by effective contraceptive method of birth control and\u002For who are unwilling or unable to be tested for pregnancy;\n* Any known history of severe preexisting constipation.",true,"18 Years","80 Years",{"count":57,"type":20},180,"INTERVENTIONAL",[60],"NA","The Cytophone is a first in the world patented system to identify and count single circulating melanoma cells in blood circulation inside the human body. The Cytophone has a unique capability to find rare melanoma cells in the blood by an assessment of 100-500 times greater amounts of blood volume than routine blood tests. The important benefit of the Cytophone diagnosis is that the test does not require injection or any skin incision (i.e., non-invasiveness). The goal of this clinical trial is to demonstrate evidence of the capability of the Cytophone test to indicate a risk of metastasis and define CTC counts that correlate with melanoma recurrence, progression of metastatic disease, and therapy efficacy. The investigators believe that clinical trials will provide evidence that the Cytophone can diagnose risk of melanoma metastasis and recurrence earlier than existing methods.",[63,26,64,65],"Melanoma","Metastatic Melanoma","Diagnosis",[67,68,69,70,71],"melanoma","circulating tumor cells (CTCs)","in vivo liquid biopsy","metastasis","diagnosis and prognosis","2025-03-10",{"date":74,"type":36},"2025-03-11",{"date":76,"type":36},"2025-02-11",{"date":78,"type":20},"2026-03-31",{"name":80,"class":81},"Cytoastra","INDUSTRY"]
