The investigators aim to enroll 2,800 participants aged 55 years and older for long-term follow-up. The population will include individuals with neurodegenerative diseases or those at the prodromal stage of cognitive impairment, as well as healthy middle-aged and older adults serving as controls. The investigators will collect their sociodemographic, dietary, lifestyle, clinical, and neuroimaging data, as well as biological samples.",[26,27,28,29],"Aging","Cognition Improvement","Cognition Disorders","Cognition",[31,32,33,34,35],"aging","cognition","gut microbiota","multi-omics","brain","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-01-19",{"date":39,"type":40},"2026-01-28","ACTUAL",{"date":42,"type":22},"2026-01-01",{"date":44,"type":22},"2031-12-31",{"name":46,"class":47},"Westlake University","OTHER",{"id":49,"slug":50,"hasResults":11,"nctId":51,"briefTitle":52,"officialTitle":52,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":53,"healthyVolunteers":16,"sex":17,"minAge":54,"maxAge":55,"enrollmentInfo":56,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":58,"phases":59,"briefSummary":61,"conditions":62,"keywords":63,"overallStatus":36,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":66,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":67,"startDateStruct":69,"completionDateStruct":71,"leadSponsor":73,"locationsCount":4},"100602821","tinkering-to-flex-ur-brain-tinker-fun-a-cognitive-flexibility-pilot-program-for-community-dwelling-older-adults-100602821","NCT07128498","Tinkering to Flex Ur Brain (Tinker-FUN): A Cognitive Flexibility Pilot Program for Community Dwelling Older Adults","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Mini MoCA Score \\>12\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Diagnosed or self-reported cognitive impairment\n* Diagnosed or self-reported psychiatric disorders\n* Diagnosed or self-reported neurological disorders","65 Years","85 Years",{"count":57,"type":22},15,"INTERVENTIONAL",[60],"NA","The Tinker-FUN program is a cognitive flexibility intervention designed to help older adults adapt to aging and live independently. While cognitive training is an effective way to mitigate cognitive decline, current methods do not focus on cognitive flexibility, an essential aspect of managing daily activities as one ages.
