This study is planned to reassess children and adolescents with trauma exposure who were evaluated in Istanbul Faculty of Medicine Child Psychiatry outpatient clinic as part of a thesis study one year ago (January-April 2024) and to examine how many of them continue to meet the criteria for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), how many receive a diagnosis of Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), and which factors are associated with these outcomes. In this way, it is aimed to contribute to the literature on the long-term effects of trauma exposure. Additionally, since there is no scale in our country that assesses the diagnosis of CPTSD in children, the study also aims to translate the Child and Adolescent Trauma Screen Scale - 2 (CATS-2) into Turkish and examine its psychometric properties.",[25,26],"Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)","Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD)","RECRUITING","2025-05-13",{"date":30,"type":31},"2025-05-16","ACTUAL",{"date":33,"type":31},"2025-02-17",{"date":35,"type":21},"2025-08-15",{"name":37,"class":38},"Istanbul University","OTHER",1,{"id":41,"slug":42,"hasResults":11,"nctId":43,"briefTitle":44,"officialTitle":45,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":46,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":18,"enrollmentInfo":47,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":4,"briefSummary":49,"conditions":50,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":27,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":51,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":52,"startDateStruct":54,"completionDateStruct":56,"leadSponsor":58,"locationsCount":39},"100586709","prevalence-of-complex-ptsd-in-trauma-exposed-children-adolescents-and-related-factors-100586709","NCT06918899","Prevalence of Complex PTSD in Trauma-Exposed Children-Adolescents and Related Factors","Identifying the Prevalence of Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in Trauma-Exposed Children and Adolescents and Examining Related Factors","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Having been exposed to at least one traumatic event,\n* Being between the ages of 7 and 18,\n* The child and\u002For their parents (or caregivers) having adequate literacy and Turkish communication skills.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* The presence of psychotic\u002Fmanic symptoms in the child or parent during the interview or any condition that makes the interview and assessment impossible (e.g., mental or developmental condition or a different communication language),\n* The child or parent refusing to participate in the study,\n* The presence of autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disability at a severity that prevents assessment.",{"count":48,"type":21},120,"The aim of this study is to assess the psychiatric evaluation of children and adolescents exposed to trauma in the outpatient clinic and to determine the prevalence of PTSD and Complex PTSD (CPTSD) diagnoses.
