The biomechanical principle implies a medialization and distalization of the center of rotation (COR). Deficiencies in internal and external rotation constitute frequently encountered functional problems. Some studies showed reduced activation of the posterior deltoid in EMG measurements, which may explain the inability to compensate these movements. Lateralized prosthetic designs demonstrated increased external rotation through an alteration of the deltoid's lever arm.\n\nThe aim of the study is to investigate the impact of lateralization on functional outcome and deltoid EMG activity in comparison to a standard implantation technique.",[28,29,30],"Cuff Tear Arthropathy","Omarthrosis","Rotator Cuff Tear Arthropathy",[32,33,34,35,36],"reverse total shoulder arthroplasty","cuff tear arthropathy","lateralization","deltoid function","EMG","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-05-02",{"date":40,"type":41},"2026-05-07","ACTUAL",{"date":43,"type":22},"2026-06",{"date":45,"type":22},"2027-12",{"name":47,"class":48},"Vienna Hospital Association","OTHER_GOV",1,{"id":51,"slug":52,"hasResults":11,"nctId":53,"briefTitle":54,"officialTitle":55,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":56,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":57,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":58,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":60,"phases":4,"briefSummary":61,"conditions":62,"keywords":71,"overallStatus":37,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":76,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":77,"startDateStruct":79,"completionDateStruct":81,"leadSponsor":83,"locationsCount":4},"100463414","s-11-smr-tt-hybrid-glenoid-and-cementless-finned-short-stem-100463414","NCT05314387","S-11 SMR TT Hybrid Glenoid and Cementless Finned Short Stem","A Multicentre, Prospective Clinical Study Analysing Outcomes of Shoulder Arthroplasty With SMR TT Hybrid Glenoid With or Without SMR Cementless Finned Short Stem","Inclusion Criteria:(Key)\n\n* Both genders;\n* Age ≥ 18 years old;\n* Full skeletal maturity;\n* Life expectancy over 5 years;\n* Patient is requiring primary unilateral arthroplasty based on physical examination and medical history;\n* Good bone quality evaluated by the Investigator and the intraoperative evaluation;\n* A diagnosis in the target shoulder of one or more of the S-11 SMR TT Hybrid Glenoid and Cementless Finned Short Stem Version Sep 2021 2.0 Confidential Page11 following:\n\n 1.
