A secondary outcome will assess these scores at 24 weeks to evaluate sustained effects. Additional secondary outcomes include the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) to further assess changes in mood and sleep quality at the same time points.\n\nExploratory analyses will examine inflammatory markers, immune cell subsets, serum metabolomics, and gut microbiota at baseline, 12 weeks, and 24 weeks to identify potential biological correlates. During the follow-up period, participants will record their actual exercise engagement, allowing investigators to explore long-term associations. Findings may provide insights for future mechanistic studies on TCM's role in mental health.",[27,28],"Anxiety Symptom","Depression Symptom",[30,31],"Anxiety","Depression","RECRUITING","2026-04-23",{"date":35,"type":36},"2026-04-29","ACTUAL",{"date":38,"type":36},"2025-04-10",{"date":40,"type":21},"2027-09-30",{"name":42,"class":43},"Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine","OTHER",1,{"id":46,"slug":47,"hasResults":11,"nctId":48,"briefTitle":49,"officialTitle":50,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":51,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":52,"maxAge":53,"enrollmentInfo":54,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":56,"briefSummary":57,"conditions":58,"keywords":60,"overallStatus":32,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":64,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":65,"startDateStruct":67,"completionDateStruct":69,"leadSponsor":71,"locationsCount":44},"100588569","nonviolent-communication-for-parents-100588569","NCT06943105","Nonviolent Communication for Parents","Effectiveness of Group-based Nonviolent Communication Interventions for Improving Mental Well-being in Parents: a Randomised Controlled Trial","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* 1\\) parents aged 24-59 years with children of primary school age;\n* 2\\) with mild to severe depressive symptoms (score \\>5 on the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ)-9) (Kroenke et al., 2001) and\u002For mild to severe anxiety symptoms (score \\>5 on the General Anxiety Disorder (GAD)-7) (Spitzer et al., 2006); and\n* 3\\) Hong Kong residents who can understand Cantonese.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* 1\\) under psychiatric treatment, psychotherapy groups and are classified as unstable cases based on the judgment of the recruiting social workers;\n* 2\\) participating in other related parenting programmes.","24 Years","59 Years",{"count":55,"type":21},172,[24],"This randomised controlled trial (RCT) aims to evaluate the effectiveness of face-to-face Nonviolent Communication (NVC) intervention in improving parents' mental well-being and NVC skills, reducing parenting stress, depression and anxiety symptoms, and child emotional and behavioural problems.\n\nA total of 172 parents with primary-school-age children will be recruited and randomly assigned to an intervention group or a waitlist control group.
