Although commercial barrier creams are widely used, maternal breast milk has been suggested as a safe, accessible, and low-cost alternative due to its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. However, evidence regarding its effectiveness within structured nurse-led management programs in primary healthcare settings remains limited.\n\nThis study aims to compare the effectiveness of topical maternal breast milk and commercial barrier creams in the management of mild-to-moderate diaper dermatitis among children aged 0-24 months attending primary healthcare clinics in Palestine. The study will use a mixed-methods design consisting of a pragmatic randomized controlled trial followed by qualitative interviews with nurses. Clinical outcomes will be assessed using the Diaper Dermatitis Severity Scale (DDSS), and qualitative findings will explore the feasibility and implementation of the nurse-led intervention in routine practice.",[27],"Diaper Dermatitis",[27,29,30,31,32,33],"Diaper Rash","Breast Milk","Maternal Breast Milk","Barrier Creams","Nurse-Led Intervention","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-06-09",{"date":37,"type":38},"2026-06-11","ACTUAL",{"date":40,"type":21},"2026-06",{"date":42,"type":21},"2026-12",{"name":44,"class":45},"University of Malaya","OTHER",1,{"id":48,"slug":49,"hasResults":11,"nctId":50,"briefTitle":51,"officialTitle":52,"acronym":53,"eligibilityCriteria":54,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":55,"maxAge":56,"enrollmentInfo":57,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":59,"briefSummary":60,"conditions":61,"keywords":62,"overallStatus":66,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":67,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":68,"startDateStruct":70,"completionDateStruct":72,"leadSponsor":74,"locationsCount":46},"100574132","probiotics-for-diaper-dermatitis-100574132","NCT06755307","Probiotics for Diaper Dermatitis","PROBIOTICS FOR TREATING DIAPER DERMATITIS IN CHILDREN - A DOUBLE-BLIND, RANDOMIZED, PLACEBO-CONTROLLED CLINICAL TRIAL","ProDiaper II","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* presence of diaper dermatitis\n* age less than two years\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* previous use of probiotics\n* age more than two years\n* an acute bacterial infection\n* chronic disease\n* local use of antibiotics in the anogenital region","1 Month","2 Years",{"count":58,"type":21},42,[24],"The goal of this randomized controlled clinical trial is to determine the effect of the probiotic OMNiBiOTiC® Panda in treating diaper dermatitis in children under the age of two years.
