This study will test whether cinematic virtual reality (VR)-an immersive, interactive learning tool-is more effective than traditional lectures in helping medical students learn about geriatric care. Students who complete the VR training will experience realistic patient scenarios that show what can go wrong in medical care and learn how to apply osteopathic principles to improve outcomes. Researchers will compare students' performance on a clinical skills assessment and explore their experiences with the VR training. The goal is to determine whether cinematic virtual reality can better prepare students for residency and improve their ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care for older adults.",[27,28,29,30,31,32],"Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM)","Geriatric Syndromes","Disability Hearing","Disability Physical","Urinary Tract Infection(UTI)","Delirium Confusional State",[34],"virtual reality, type 2 diabetes, geriatric syndromes, disability, elder abuse and neglect","RECRUITING","2026-04-14",{"date":38,"type":39},"2026-04-21","ACTUAL",{"date":41,"type":21},"2026-04-15",{"date":43,"type":21},"2027-06-30",{"name":45,"class":46},"Ohio University","OTHER",1,{"id":49,"slug":50,"hasResults":11,"nctId":51,"briefTitle":52,"officialTitle":53,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":54,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":55,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":57,"briefSummary":58,"conditions":59,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":35,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":64,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":65,"startDateStruct":67,"completionDateStruct":69,"leadSponsor":71,"locationsCount":47},"100492690","brief-cognitive-behavioral-therapy-for-people-with-physical-disabilities-100492690","NCT05695430","Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for People With Physical Disabilities","Telehealth-delivered Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to Prevent Suicides in People With Physical Disabilities","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* 18 years of age\n* Disability impacting vision, hearing, or mobility\n* Past-week suicidal ideation or past-month suicide attempt\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Inability to provide informed consent\n* Lack of internet connection and web camera",{"count":56,"type":21},60,[24],"The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of a psychotherapy (non-medication) treatment, Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention, in reducing suicide ideation and attempts for people with physical disabilities.",[60,61,62,30,29,63],"Suicide","Suicide, Attempted","Suicidal Ideation","Disability, Vision","2026-02-16",{"date":66,"type":39},"2026-02-19",{"date":68,"type":39},"2022-03-01",{"date":70,"type":21},"2026-03",{"name":72,"class":46},"Ohio State University"]
