So far, case reports and retrospective studies suggest that such a strategy should be considered in cases refractory to initial therapy. In this scenario, the European and American guidelines for the treatment of ventricular arrhythmias recommend autonomic modulation in this setting, but only with a level of recommendation IIb (1,2). This project aims to evaluate the effect of stellate ganglion infiltration in patients with electric storm refractory to initial clinical measures. It is a randomized clinical trial where patients will receive treatment with a lidocaine and bupivacaine anesthetic solution or no intervention. The effect of the intervention will be considered positive when there is a reduction of arrhythmic events of at least 50% in the 12 hours immediately after.",[26,27,28],"Electrical Storm","Stellate Ganglion Block","Ventricular Arrhythmia",[28,26,30],"Stellate ganglion block","RECRUITING","2025-09-29",{"date":34,"type":35},"2025-10-07","ACTUAL",{"date":37,"type":35},"2025-06-06",{"date":39,"type":20},"2028-12",{"name":41,"class":42},"University of Sao Paulo General Hospital","OTHER",1,{"id":45,"slug":46,"hasResults":11,"nctId":47,"briefTitle":48,"officialTitle":49,"acronym":50,"eligibilityCriteria":51,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":52,"enrollmentInfo":53,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":55,"phases":4,"briefSummary":56,"conditions":57,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":60,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":61,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":62,"startDateStruct":64,"completionDateStruct":66,"leadSponsor":68,"locationsCount":4},"100595485","recurrent-ventricular-arrythmias-in-icu-100595485","NCT07033065","Recurrent Ventricular Arrythmias in ICU","In Hospital and Long Term Outcomes After Recurrent Ventricular Arrythmias","ElectStorm","Inclusion Criteria:\n\nAll ventricular arrythmias admitted in ICU -\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n\\-","90 Years",{"count":54,"type":20},300,"OBSERVATIONAL","Electrical storm (ES) is a life-threatening syndrome defined by the recurrence of ventricular arrythmias.\n\nES is also represented by a wide spectrum of clinical situations ranging from recurrent monomorphic VT reduced by anti-tachycardia pacing (ATP) in relatively stable patients to recurrent VF in hemodynamically unstable patients.\n\nThus, the purpose of this study was to assess the incidence and predictors of long term mortality following hospitalization in the intensive care unit for ES, in a large retrospective multicentric study.",[58,59,26],"Ventricular Arrythmia","Cardiogenic Shock","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2025-06-13",{"date":63,"type":35},"2025-06-24",{"date":65,"type":20},"2025-07-01",{"date":67,"type":20},"2025-10-15",{"name":69,"class":42},"Central Hospital, Nancy, France",{"id":71,"slug":72,"hasResults":11,"nctId":73,"briefTitle":74,"officialTitle":75,"acronym":76,"eligibilityCriteria":77,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":4,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":78,"targetDuration":80,"studyType":55,"phases":4,"briefSummary":81,"conditions":82,"keywords":86,"overallStatus":31,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":91,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":92,"startDateStruct":94,"completionDateStruct":96,"leadSponsor":98,"locationsCount":100},"100494650","in-hospital-stellate-ganglion-block-for-arrhythmic-storm-100494650","NCT05720936","In-hospital Stellate Ganglion Block for Arrhythmic Storm","A Multicenter Observational Study on In-hospital Stellate Ganglion Block for Arrhythmic Storm","STAR","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* age ≥ 18 years,\n* presence of arrhythmic storm defined as more than three sustained ventricular arrhythmias in 24 hours refractory to the standard medical treatment.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* A previous history of cardiac sympathicectomy\n* Having a neck judged unsuitable for the procedure (previous neck surgery, previous burns, presence of large scars, thyroid goiter)\n\nBoth the two approaches present in literature and commonly used for this technique are allowed for the study:\n\n* The \"anatomical\" approach which consist in the identification of the Chassaignac's tubercle that represents the point of needle insertion\n* The \"echo-guided\" approach Regardless to the approach (anatomical or echo-guided) the doctor will be able to choose, according to the clinical characteristics of the patients, whether to perform a single shot injection of anesthetic or a continuous infusion of anesthetic.
