Clear medical history of traumatic brain injury;\n2. within 12 hours after injury;\n3. Supratentorial unilateral acute epidural hematoma on first head CT scan examination;\n4. The admitting neurosurgeon considers that the epidural hematoma needs to be evacuated with surgical treatment;\n5. With informed consent to surgery and trial participation.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n1. Previous intracranial surgery prior to trauma;\n2. Patients with a score of 3 on the GCS, with bilateral fixed and dilated pupils, bleeding diathesis or defective coagulation, or an injury that was deemed to be unsurvivable;\n3. CT demonstrates associated other intracranial hematomas e.g. subdural, intracerebral hemorrhage, or large size infarction, which are the main causes of operation;\n4. Patients who had injury of the oculomotor nerve;\n5. Severe pre-existing disability or severe co-morbidity which would lead to a poor outcome even if the patient is supposed to a good recovery from the TBI;\n6. Age 18 or above；\n2. Patients with a clear history of head trauma and confirmed acute epidural hematoma by head CT；\n3. Cases that the case screening committee deems suitable for conservative treatment\\*；\n4. Randomly within 6 hours after injury, and initiate treatment within 8 hours after injury；\n5. Epidural hematoma located on the convex surface of the brain (frontal, temporal, parietal, or occipital)；\n6. The patient or their representative agrees and signs an informed consent form. \\* The case screening committee is composed of three senior neurosurgeons, with two of them jointly deciding whether conservative treatment is possible. If there is a disagreement, the third doctor will make the final judgment. Including but not limited to the following two situations: 1. Hematoma volume\\\u003C30ml, hematoma thickness\\\u003C15mm, midline shift (MLS) \\\u003C5mm, GCS score\\>8, and no focal neurological deficit; 2. If the GCS score is ≥ 13, the imaging standards can be appropriately relaxed.\n\nExclusion criteria：\n\n1. Patients who require craniotomy surgery to remove hematoma；\n2. Bilateral acute epidural hematoma；\n3. Combined severe acute subdural hematoma；\n4. Brainstem injury；\n5. There are obvious brain contusions, lacerations, intracerebral hematomas, etc；\n6. Combined intracranial tumors and other intracranial space occupying diseases；\n7. Severe damage to combined extracranial organs；\n8. mRS score \\> 2 before injury；\n9. Coagulation dysfunction (preoperative INR\\>1.5), abnormal platelet count and function (platelet \\\u003C 80×109\u002FL)；\n10. There are contraindications for cerebral angiography, such as iodine contrast agent allergy, embolization material allergy etc.；\n11. There may be anatomical variations that may affect the safety of MMA embolization surgery and are not suitable for endovascular embolization；\n12. Severe comorbidities, may prevent improvement of the condition or completion of follow-up；\n13. Having undergone major surgical procedures within 30 days before surgery；\n14. Currently participating in other clinical trials；\n15. Pregnant women；\n16. Suffering from malignant tumors with an expected lifespan of less than 1 year；\n17. Unable to complete follow-up as required by the protocol；\n18.
