This research protocol aims to investigate the short-term effects of hippotherapy on the viscoelastic and biomechanical properties of the TLF and quality of life (QoL) in children with spastic CP and their parents\u002Fcaregivers. A 4-week randomized control trial will compare the effects of once-weekly and twice-weekly hippotherapy sessions to a control group without intervention. The study will assess the viscoelastic and biomechanical properties of the TLF using the MyotonPRO device in children with spastic CP aged 4-12 years. Myotonometer parameters, including oscillation frequency, stiffness, logarithmic decrement, stress relaxation, and creep, will be analyzed before, during, and after the intervention. Functional tests, such as the 10-meter walk test (comfortable and fast walking), cadence, one-leg stance test (eyes open and closed), and functional reach test (forward and lateral), will also be monitored. QoL will be assessed using the CP QOL-Child questionnaire. The primary outcomes will include changes in myotonometer parameters, their correlation with functional tests, and differences between intervention groups. Secondary outcomes will explore whether hippotherapy impacts QoL and the relationship between QoL domains and TLF properties. Results will evaluate whether twice-weekly therapy yields statistically significant differences in the specified parameters compared once-weekly sessions and contribute to understanding hippotherapy's mechanisms, supporting more individualized therapies to improve QoL for children with CP and their families.",[65,66,67,68,29,69],"Cerebral Palsy (CP)","Rehabilitation","Motor Coordination or Function","Hippotherapy","Quality of Life","2025-08-19",{"date":72,"type":41},"2025-08-21",{"date":74,"type":21},"2025-09",{"date":76,"type":21},"2026-01",{"name":78,"class":48},"University Medical Centre Ljubljana",{"id":80,"slug":81,"hasResults":11,"nctId":82,"briefTitle":83,"officialTitle":84,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":85,"healthyVolunteers":86,"sex":16,"minAge":87,"maxAge":88,"enrollmentInfo":89,"targetDuration":91,"studyType":92,"phases":4,"briefSummary":93,"conditions":94,"keywords":97,"overallStatus":102,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":103,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":104,"startDateStruct":106,"completionDateStruct":108,"leadSponsor":110,"locationsCount":49},"100557369","changes-in-thoracolumbar-fascia-stiffness-and-pain-parameters-in-young-patients-with-chronic-low-back-pain-100557369","NCT06537219","Changes in Thoracolumbar Fascia Stiffness and Pain Parameters in Young Patients With Chronic Low Back Pain","Thoracolumbar Fascia Stiffness and Pain Parameters","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* chronic back pain participants more than 3 months\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Those with orthopaedic, neurological and systemic diseases will be excluded from the study.",true,"18 Years","50 Years",{"count":90,"type":21},50,"4 Weeks","OBSERVATIONAL","This study aims to investigate the biomechanical parameters of thoracolumbar fascia (TLF) and pain-related properties including pain intensity, pressure pain threshold (ppt) and pain sensitivity in young adults with non-specific chronic low back pain (LBP), both those experiencing chronic low back pain (LBP) and without LBP.",[95,96,29],"Pain","Back Pain",[98,99,100,101],"non-spesific back pain","thoracolumbar fascia","stiffness","pain thresold","RECRUITING","2024-08-02",{"date":105,"type":41},"2024-08-05",{"date":107,"type":41},"2024-07-15",{"date":109,"type":21},"2024-09-15",{"name":111,"class":48},"Atılım University"]
