NeoMayor is a smartphone-based application that provides personalized guidance on physical activity, diet, sleep, and mental well-being through a multidomain lifestyle approach.\n\nThis multicenter randomized controlled trial will enroll community-dwelling older adults aged 55 to 75 years recruited from primary healthcare centers in urban and rural settings. Participants will be randomized in a 2:1 ratio to either the NeoMayor intervention or a control group receiving standard health information and usual care. The intervention duration will be four months.\n\nThe primary objective is to determine whether the NeoMayor intervention improves cardiovascular health as measured by the Life's Essential 8 Cardiovascular Health Index. Secondary objectives include evaluating changes in cognitive performance, depressive symptoms, anxiety symptoms, quality of life and physical performance outcomes. The study will also assess feasibility and adherence to digital intervention.",[28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36],"Cardiovascular Health Status","Smoking Status","Physical Activity","Diet Quality","Sleep Duration","Body Mass Index","Blood Pressure","LDL Cholesterol","Fasting Glucose",[38,39,40,41,42],"Cardiovascular Health Index","cardiovascular risk","Life's Essential 8","mhealth","older adults","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-06-12",{"date":46,"type":47},"2026-06-16","ACTUAL",{"date":49,"type":22},"2026-09-01",{"date":51,"type":22},"2027-05",{"name":53,"class":54},"University of Chile","OTHER",{"id":56,"slug":57,"hasResults":11,"nctId":58,"briefTitle":59,"officialTitle":60,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":61,"healthyVolunteers":62,"sex":17,"minAge":63,"maxAge":64,"enrollmentInfo":65,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":67,"briefSummary":68,"conditions":69,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":71,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":72,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":73,"startDateStruct":75,"completionDateStruct":77,"leadSponsor":79,"locationsCount":81},"100640351","a-study-of-starting-strength-barbell-training-100640351","NCT07578285","A Study Of Starting Strength Barbell Training","Effects Of Progressive Barbell Strength Training On Cardiovascular And Metabolic Health Markers","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Adults aged 18-100 years\n* Sedentary or minimally active (less than 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity per week)\n* No participation in structured resistance training programs within the past 6 months.\n* Able to safely participate in resistance training as determined by medical screening\n* Willing to commit to 3 training sessions per week for 12 weeks\n* Able to provide informed consent\n* Willing to obtain pre- and post-intervention laboratory tests from the same laboratory company.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Current participation in structured resistance training programs\n* Cardiovascular disease requiring activity restriction\n* Uncontrolled hypertension (systolic BP \\>180 mm Hg or diastolic BP \\>110 mm Hg)\n* Musculoskeletal conditions precluding safe barbell training\n* Changes in lipid-lowering or antihypertensive medications within 3 months prior to enrollment\n* Known cardiovascular, metabolic, or renal disease that would preclude safe participation in resistance training",true,"15 Years","100 Years",{"count":66,"type":22},200,[25],"The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of a 12-week coached Starting Strength barbell training program on systolic and diastolic blood pressure.",[34,70,36],"Lipid Profile","RECRUITING","2026-05-05",{"date":74,"type":47},"2026-05-11",{"date":76,"type":22},"2026-06-01",{"date":78,"type":22},"2029-01-01",{"name":80,"class":54},"Mayo Clinic",1]
