Intervention will involve the prior presentation of the most aversive fragment of the memory, the so-called 'hotspot.' This intervention will allow for the replication of the effect described by Dibbets and Arntz (2016), according to which the prior activation of the most emotional element of a memory enhances the effectiveness of ImRs.\n\nThe study is also significant due to another ongoing study in which a substantial number of participants have already been examined; however, due to the exhaustion of funds, it was not possible to utilize the remainder of the recruited sample. Investigating an additional condition will allow for a more complete utilization of the available participant pool and significantly increase the project's scientific value by comparing the traditional ImRs mechanism with its AI-generated version.",[27,28,29],"Generalized Anxiety","Fear of Failure","Rumination",[28,31,27,32,33],"Intrusive Autobiographical Memories","Imagery Rescripting","AI","RECRUITING","2026-05-03",{"date":37,"type":38},"2026-05-07","ACTUAL",{"date":40,"type":21},"2026-04",{"date":42,"type":21},"2026-07",{"name":44,"class":45},"University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Warsaw","OTHER",{"id":47,"slug":48,"hasResults":11,"nctId":49,"briefTitle":50,"officialTitle":51,"acronym":52,"eligibilityCriteria":15,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":18,"enrollmentInfo":53,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":55,"briefSummary":56,"conditions":57,"keywords":58,"overallStatus":34,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":59,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":60,"startDateStruct":62,"completionDateStruct":64,"leadSponsor":66,"locationsCount":67},"100607527","optimization-of-imagery-rescripting-research-using-generative-artificial-intelligence-100607527","NCT07189715","Optimization of Imagery Rescripting Research Using Generative Artificial Intelligence","A Randomized Controlled Pilot Study on AI-Based Imagery Rescripting for Childhood Criticism Memories","FRBN",{"count":54,"type":21},80,[24],"This pilot randomized controlled trial will investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of using generative artificial intelligence to create personalized therapeutic scripts for imagery rescripting (ImRs). Eighty participants will listen to autobiographical scenarios based on their own memories of childhood criticism and neutral events. The scenarios will be generated by the Gemini large language model and reviewed by trained experimenters. On Day 1, all participants will be exposed to both critical and neutral scenarios and randomly assigned to either an experimental group receiving an ImRs intervention or a control group receiving no therapeutic modification. Skin conductance and subjective emotional ratings will be collected during the session, with follow-up questionnaires administered one week later. In addition, cognitive-behavioral therapists will evaluate the quality of the generated scripts. The study aims to assess emotional and physiological responses to AI-generated content, compare outcomes between groups, and explore the potential of large language models in scalable psychological interventions.",[27,28,29],[28,31,27,32,33],"2025-09-15",{"date":61,"type":38},"2025-09-24",{"date":63,"type":38},"2025-06-01",{"date":65,"type":21},"2025-12-31",{"name":44,"class":45},1]
