One approach to treating these disorders is by using psychological therapies. This clinical trial aims to see how well pre-recorded guided imagery therapy sessions help children's abdominal pain when delivered via a mobile application (app) on a smartphone or tablet.\n\nParticipants will complete a baseline abdominal pain and stooling diary to determine eligibility, as well as other surveys. Eligible participants will be given access to the guided imagery therapy mobile application.\n\nThis intervention asks participants to listen to a 10- to 15-minute GIT session 5 out of 7 days per week for 8 weeks, in addition to their usual care for their abdominal pain. Then, participants will complete another abdominal pain and stooling diary, along with other psychometric surveys, at the end of this intervention period. Participants will also collect another diary and surveys 3 months post-treatment.",[27,28,29,30,31,32,33],"Functional Abdominal Pain Disorders","Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)","Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders (FGIDs)","Gastrointestinal and Digestive Disorder","Abdominal Pain\u002F Discomfort","Pain","Functional Dyspepsia",[35,36],"abdominal pain","irritable bowel syndrome","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2025-10-28",{"date":40,"type":41},"2025-10-30","ACTUAL",{"date":43,"type":21},"2025-12-01",{"date":45,"type":21},"2026-11-30",{"name":47,"class":48},"Baylor College of Medicine","OTHER",2,{"id":51,"slug":52,"hasResults":11,"nctId":53,"briefTitle":54,"officialTitle":54,"acronym":55,"eligibilityCriteria":56,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":57,"maxAge":58,"enrollmentInfo":59,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":61,"briefSummary":62,"conditions":63,"keywords":65,"overallStatus":70,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":71,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":72,"startDateStruct":74,"completionDateStruct":76,"leadSponsor":78,"locationsCount":80},"100567259","vico-trial-video-consultations-in-the-follow-up-of-children-with-functional-abdominal-pain-disorders-100567259","NCT06665867","VICO-trial: Video Consultations in the Follow-up of Children With Functional Abdominal Pain Disorders","VICO","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Children aged 4 years to 17 years\n* Meeting the Rome IV criteria for one of the four types of Functional Abdominal Pain Disorders (FAPD's): functional dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, abdominal migraine, functional abdominal pain - not otherwise specified.\n* Being able to conduct a video consultation\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* If no follow-up consultation is indicated\n* If it is necessary that the follow-up consultations are face to face","4 Years","17 Years",{"count":60,"type":21},208,[24],"The goal of this non-inferiority randomized controlled multi-center trial is to investigate the use of video consultations in the follow-up care of children aged 4 - 18 years old with functional abdominal pain disorders (FAPDs).
