The main questions it aims to answer are: Does GPFB have less potential to inflict pain when dealing with hemostasis with epistaxis, utilizing a pre-validated 10-point visual analog scale (VAS)? Was hemostasis management more effective in either technique? Researchers will compare anterior nasal packing to greater palatine foramen block using 2% xylocaine with adrenaline.\n\nPatients will receive any of the hemostatic interventions at the time of the acute epistaxis episode.\n\nThe questionnaire will be administered 24 hours post-intervention.",[28,29],"Epistaxis Nosebleed","Greater Palatine Foramen",[31],"epistaxis","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-02-20",{"date":35,"type":36},"2026-02-24","ACTUAL",{"date":38,"type":22},"2026-03-01",{"date":40,"type":22},"2027-02-28",{"name":42,"class":43},"Sheikh Zayed Federal Postgraduate Medical Institute","OTHER",{"id":45,"slug":46,"hasResults":11,"nctId":47,"briefTitle":48,"officialTitle":49,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":50,"healthyVolunteers":51,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":52,"enrollmentInfo":53,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":55,"phases":4,"briefSummary":56,"conditions":57,"keywords":59,"overallStatus":32,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":62,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":63,"startDateStruct":65,"completionDateStruct":67,"leadSponsor":69,"locationsCount":4},"100620868","palatal-morphology-age-and-greater-palatine-canal-anatomy-on-cbct-100620868","NCT07363213","Palatal Morphology, Age, and Greater Palatine Canal Anatomy on CBCT","Assessment of Palatal Morphology and Age in Relation to Greater Palatine Canal\u002FForamen Anatomy on CBCT: A Retrospective Study in an Egyptian Population","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Adults ≥18 years\n* CBCT scans showing complete hard palate\n* Presence of first maxillary molars bilaterally\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Palatal surgery or trauma history\n* Maxillofacial anomalies\n* Palatal pathology\n* Poor CBCT quality",true,"65 Years",{"count":54,"type":22},50,"OBSERVATIONAL","The primary objective of this study is to quantify the relationship between palatal morphology-including vault height, angle, width, and palatal bone thickness-and the dimensions and position of the greater palatine canal (GPC) and foramen (GPF).
