The study will be conducted in a kindergarten setting in Istanbul, Turkey, with a total of 66 children who meet the inclusion criteria. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: a virtual reality-based education group, a traditional handwashing education group, or a control group receiving no intervention. Data will be collected using a sociodemographic information form, a handwashing knowledge form, a handwashing skill assessment form, and the Children's Emotional Indicators Scale. This randomized, multicenter, superiority-controlled trial will enroll up to 72 healthcare workers and surgical residents from three hospitals in Bogotá, Colombia. A fluorescent product will simulate bacteria, and contamination will be assessed by evaluating the presence of fluorescent cream after hand drying technique with either two or one surgical sterile towel. Data will be collected through REDCap and deidentified. Differences in the proportion of contamination between the two groups will be assessed using an exact Fischer test, and confounding variables will be included in the analysis through logistic multivariate regression, with a significance level set a priori at 0.05. Results will be submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.",[27,88,89,90],"Surgical Wound Infection","Healthcare Associated Infection","Medical Errors",[92,93,94,89,27],"Surgical Scrubbing","Handwashing","Disinfection","RECRUITING","2024-10-01",{"date":98,"type":36},"2024-10-02",{"date":100,"type":36},"2024-04-26",{"date":102,"type":21},"2025-06-30",{"name":104,"class":42},"Instituto de Ortopedia Infantil Roosevelt"]
