A total of 160 female adolescents with hemoglobin levels below 12.0 g/dL will be recruited from 7 secondary schools. Random assignment at the individual level, stratified by baseline anemia status, will be used to ensure balance. For participants in the intervention group, the intervention will be designed by an interdisciplinary team and administered over 4 months, comprising 8 face-to-face counseling sessions and 8 parallel mobile application modules. Control group participants will receive standard care (diagnosis and referral). The primary outcomes are the mean differences in hemoglobin and serum ferritin levels. Secondary outcomes are engagement among female adolescents (attendance at counseling sessions and completion of mobile application modules).",[27,28,29],"Iron Deficiency Anemia","Digital Health Literacy","Health Promotion Model (HPM)",[31,32,33,34,35,36,37],"blended intervention","health promotion","iron deficiency anemia","adolescent females","adolescent behavior","female adolescents","marginalized communities","RECRUITING","2026-06-08
2026-06-10","ACTUAL
2026-05-24
2026-11-30
Cairo University","OTHER",1
"100609257","health-promotion-model-based-education-and-motivational-interviewing-for-parents-of-children-with-type-1-diabetes-100609257","NCT07212218","Health Promotion Model-Based Education and Motivational Interviewing for Parents of Children With Type 1 Diabetes","THE EFFECT OF HEALTH PROMOTION MODEL-BASED EDUCATION AND MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWS GIVEN TO PARENTS OF CHILDREN DIAGNOSED WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES ON DIABETES SELF-MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY OF LIFE","HPM-T1D-MI","Inclusion Criteria:

\\- Children aged 8-12 years with type 1 diabetes diagnosed for ≥ 1 year HbA1c ≥ 7% Using insulin pen for treatment Able to read and write Living in Istanbul No intellectual disability No other chronic disease Parent able to communicate by phone and use social media apps (e.g., WhatsApp, Zoom) Both child and parent willing to participate

Exclusion Criteria:

* sychiatric disorder diagnosis Type 1 diabetes diagnosis < 1 year Using insulin pump or other treatment methods Having another type of diabetes Not in the 8-12 age range Illiteracy (child or parent) Presence of another chronic disease Parent unable to use phone or social media apps Child and/or parent unwilling to participate","ALL","8 Years","12 Years
42,[24],"This quasi-experimental study will aim to evaluate the effects of Health Promotion Model-based education and motivational interviewing on diabetes self-management and quality of life among parents of children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
