A total of 24 participants will be divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group will receive retro walking along with BOSU ball training, while the control group will perform retro walking only for 8 weeks. Balance and mobility will be assessed using the Pediatric Balance Scale, Timed Up and Go Test, and One-Leg Stance Test. Data will be collected from specialized schools in Lahore and analyzed using SPSS 27. Ethical approval will be obtained prior to study commencement.",[27],"Hearing Impaired Children",[29,30,31,32],"Hearing loss","Balance","Bosu ball","Retro walking","RECRUITING","2026-05-05",{"date":36,"type":37},"2026-05-11","ACTUAL",{"date":39,"type":37},"2026-04-15",{"date":41,"type":21},"2026-08-05",{"name":43,"class":44},"Riphah International University","OTHER",1,{"id":47,"slug":48,"hasResults":11,"nctId":49,"briefTitle":50,"officialTitle":50,"acronym":51,"eligibilityCriteria":52,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":53,"maxAge":54,"enrollmentInfo":55,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":57,"briefSummary":58,"conditions":59,"keywords":60,"overallStatus":33,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":66,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":67,"startDateStruct":69,"completionDateStruct":71,"leadSponsor":73,"locationsCount":45},"100588077","project-pair-parent-implemented-articulation-intervention-with-recast-100588077","NCT06936696","Project PAIR: Parent-implemented Articulation Intervention With Recast","Project PAIR","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Age 4;0-9;11\n* Permanent, prelingual sensorineural hearing loss\n* Uses spoken English as their primary home language (≥ 51% of the time)\n* Standard score ≥70 on the Leiter\n* Standard score ≥70 on the OWLS-II Listening Comprehension\n* At least two speech sound errors appropriate to target based on speech norms and general stimulability\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Motor speech disorder (e.g., childhood apraxia of speech)\n* Oral structural functional disorder (e.g., cleft palate)\n* Diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder\n* Diagnosis of ADHD\n* Uncorrected vision impairment (i.e., identified vision loss without the use of corrective lenses)","4 Years","10 Years",{"count":56,"type":21},10,[24],"Using a single-case multiple baseline across participants design, this study aims to explore the effectiveness of parent-implemented Broad Treatment Speech Recast supplemented with traditional clinician-led articulation therapy on speech production in elementary-aged deaf and hard of hearing children.\n\nTo address these objectives, the following research questions will be investigated:\n\n1. Does drill-based articulation therapy, administered by a speech-language pathologist, improve speech sound production in DHH children when parent-implemented BTSR is concurrently utilized at home?\n2. The investigators hypothesize that the perceived sounds will elicit increased pupil dilation compared to the non-perceived sounds and that the hearing threshold as measured with pure tone audiometry will correlate to the results in pupillometry test. The investigators hypothesize that the effect will be visible in all testing groups albeit the relative increase of pupil size with age. Hypothesis confirmed, the investigators will develop a standardised procedure for the auditory signal detection using pupillometry. Such a procedure could represent an important bridge between automatic and behavioral hearing tests. With a more precise test of auditory threshold of young children, post-operative monitoring and fitting of cochlear implants or hearing aids, and rehabilitation procedures, could be considerably more targeted and consequentially more efficient.",[27],[90,91,92],"Pupillometry","Hearing threshold","Pediatric cochlear implants","2024-06-12",{"date":95,"type":37},"2024-06-13",{"date":97,"type":37},"2021-01-03",{"date":99,"type":21},"2024-12-31",{"name":101,"class":44},"IRCCS Burlo Garofolo",5]
