High percentage ventricular pacing and wider paced QRS in the setting of normal baseline LV ejection fractions have consistently been shown to be independent risk factors for pacing-induced cardiomyopathy. Left bundle branch pacing (LBBP) has emerged as a potential alternative pacing mechanism that may avoid LV dyssynchrony and pacing-induced LV dysfunction by mimicking native electrical conduction.",[26,27],"Pacemaker DDD","Heart Block",[29],"left bundle branch pacing","RECRUITING","2026-03-09",{"date":33,"type":34},"2026-03-11","ACTUAL",{"date":36,"type":34},"2022-09-01",{"date":38,"type":20},"2030-01-01",{"name":40,"class":41},"McGill University Health Centre\u002FResearch Institute of the McGill University Health Centre","OTHER",1,{"id":44,"slug":45,"hasResults":11,"nctId":46,"briefTitle":47,"officialTitle":47,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":48,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":49,"targetDuration":51,"studyType":52,"phases":4,"briefSummary":53,"conditions":54,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":30,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":57,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":58,"startDateStruct":60,"completionDateStruct":62,"leadSponsor":64,"locationsCount":5},"100520375","long-term-evaluation-of-cardiac-arrhythmias-after-transcatheter-aortic-valve-implantation--the-locate-registry-100520375","NCT06055751","Long Term Evaluation of Cardiac Arrhythmias After Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation -The LOCATE Registry","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients \\> 18 years of age with severe aortic stenosis that undergo TAVI for severe aortic stenosis that develop any one of the following conduction system abnormalities on the immediate post procedural or post operative ECG and have undergone ILR implantation for long-term monitoring of these conditions:\n* New left bundle branch block (QRS \\>120ms)\n* New first degree AV block (PR\\>200ms) or worsening of pre-existing first-degree AV block by \\>30ms\n* New right bundle branch block (QRS\\>120ms)\n* Intra-procedural 2:1 or higher-grade AV block with spontaneous improvement within 24 hours\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients with high grade or complete AV block post TAVI needing urgent pacemakers\n* Patient with existing cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs)\n* Patients having a particular medical condition that dictates that they cannot tolerate subcutaneous, chronically-inserted device\n* Patient is currently pregnant as evidenced by urine positive Beta-HCG. The primary objectives of this study are to assess the incidence of late onset heart block necessitating PPM implantation and to evaluate the incidence of new onset atrial fibrillation (AF) following TAVI. This study aims to provide valuable insights into the long-term cardiac health of TAVI patients and inform the development of improved treatment strategies for aortic stenosis patients with conduction system abnormalities.",[55,56,27],"Aortic Stenosis","Atrial Fibrillation New Onset","2024-10-14",{"date":59,"type":34},"2024-10-16",{"date":61,"type":34},"2023-09-22",{"date":63,"type":20},"2025-12",{"name":65,"class":41},"Kansas City Heart Rhythm Research Foundation"]
