In addition, HF is the most frequent hospital diagnosis in the elderly, and is the main cause of hospitalization, with significant expenditure in public and private health care worldwide. Some functional tests have been used to predict the prognosis in patients with HF, however, the use of the 1-minute sit-to-stand test (SST1) to predict prognosis in HF has little scientific evidence, due to the lack of studies found in the literature for this population. Thus, the present study aims to evaluate the association between SST1 at discharge from the Cardio Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the clinical outcome after 90 days in patients hospitalized for decompensated heart failure (DHF). Methods: This is a prospective cohort study analyzing the association between performance on the TSL1 and clinical outcome in patients hospitalized for DHF from June 2025 to October 2025. Sociodemographic, family, social, and clinical data will be collected from the participants, after which the TSL1 will be performed. The outcome of death and hospital readmission within 90 days after discharge from the ICU will be identified through telephone contact, which will be carried out by the researcher. Expected results: It is expected that from the results of this study it will be possible to understand whether performance on the TSL1 predicts clinical outcome for patients hospitalized for DHF and that it will even be possible to determine a cutoff point capable of predicting the outcomes of interest.",[27,120,33,95,94],"Heart Failure NYHA Class IV",[122,123,124],"Functional Status","Hospitalization","Prognosis","2025-07-18",{"date":127,"type":42},"2025-07-23",{"date":129,"type":42},"2025-07-16",{"date":131,"type":21},"2026-02",{"name":133,"class":78},"Centro Universitário Augusto Motta",{"id":135,"slug":136,"hasResults":11,"nctId":137,"briefTitle":138,"officialTitle":139,"acronym":140,"eligibilityCriteria":141,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":59,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":142,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":117,"phases":4,"briefSummary":144,"conditions":145,"keywords":150,"overallStatus":38,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":154,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":155,"startDateStruct":157,"completionDateStruct":159,"leadSponsor":161,"locationsCount":79},"100579078","prediction-of-heart-failure-with-machine-learning-100579078","NCT06819618","Prediction of Heart-Failure with Machine Learning","Predicting Heart Failure Recovery by Wearables and Machine Learning","PRE-HF-ML","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* age over 17\n* HFrEF with LV-EF under 41\n* hospitalized for decompensated heart failure with a) nTproBNP over 1000 AND b) willing to participate AND c) at least one out of three clinical signs (edema, pleural effusion, ascites)\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* life expectancy under 6 months due to non-cardiac conditions\n* inability to use smartwatch\n* severe valvular lesions",{"count":143,"type":21},32,"In this monocentric observational study the research question is to what extent data collected via Apple Watch can predict the heart failure status of decompensated HF patients.
