Researchers also want to learn how safe the device is for this indication. This study will include women ages 22 to 80 who have had OAB symptoms for at least 6 months. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does the MORPHEUSV device lower the number of daily episodes of accidental urine leakage caused by urgency? Does it work better than a sham (placebo) treatment? Researchers will compare the MORPHEUSV device to a sham treatment to see how well it reduces symptoms of overactive bladder. Participants will: 1) Receive one session of either the MORPHEUSV or sham treatment. 2) Track their symptoms using a diary and questionnaires 3) Return for three to six follow-up visits over 12 months. This study is being conducted at multiple clinics in the United States.",[28,29,30,31,32,33,34],"Overactive Bladder","Overactive Bladder (OAB)","Urge Urinary Incontinence","Mixed Urinary Incontinence (Urge-Predominant)","Mixed Urinary Incontinence","Idiopathic Overactive Bladder With Urinary Incontinence","Idiopathic Overactive Bladder",[36,37,38,39,40,41],"Overactive bladder","Urge urinary incontinence","Mixed urinary incontinence","Female urinary symptoms","urogynecology","Female Urology","RECRUITING","2026-01-28",{"date":45,"type":46},"2026-01-30","ACTUAL",{"date":48,"type":46},"2025-11-25",{"date":50,"type":22},"2027-11-30",{"name":52,"class":53},"InMode MD Ltd.","INDUSTRY",9,{"id":56,"slug":57,"hasResults":11,"nctId":58,"briefTitle":59,"officialTitle":60,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":61,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":62,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":63,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":64,"briefSummary":66,"conditions":67,"keywords":69,"overallStatus":42,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":71,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":72,"startDateStruct":74,"completionDateStruct":76,"leadSponsor":78,"locationsCount":81},"100396617","phase-4-antibiotic-prophylaxis-for-bladder-botox-100396617","NCT04444440","Antibiotic Prophylaxis for Bladder Botox","Prophylactic Antibiotics During Treatment of Idiopathic Overactive Bladder With Intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxinA for the Reduction of Postoperative UTI: a Randomized Blinded Placebo-controlled Trial","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients with idiopathic OAB diagnosed clinically who have failed medical management\n* Female\n* Age ≥ 18\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients with neurogenic OAB (OAB with potential underlying neurologic cause - multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease, other)\n* Contraindication to injection of Botox - hypersensitivity to any botulinum toxin preparation or to any of the components in the formulation, current urinary tract infection, symptomatic urinary retention or PVR \\> 200 mL, unwillingness or inability to initiate CIC post-treatment if required.\n* Contraindication to oral Ciprofloxacin - hypersensitivity or allergy to Ciprofloxacin or other fluoroquinolone, concurrently taking Tizanidine or Agomelatine.14\n* Active antibiotic therapy for any indication at the time of Botox injection - increased risk of adverse reaction with combining antibiotics, reduced risk of UTI with additional antibiotic.\n* Male\n* Age \\\u003C 18\n* Pregnant and\u002For breastfeeding","18 Years",{"count":21,"type":22},[65],"PHASE4","Injection of Botox into the bladder is a common treatment for overactive bladder. Postoperative bladder infection is one of the more frequently reported complications of this procedure. Prophylactic antibiotics given at the time of bladder Botox for the reduction of postoperative bladder infection have not been well studied. The main goal of our study is to determine if prophylactic antibiotics at the time of bladder Botox injection for the treatment of overactive bladder in women reduces postoperative bladder infection. The investigators are proposing a study which will randomize participants into two groups - one receiving Ciprofloxacin and the other receiving placebo pills for three days following the procedure. The primary outcome evaluated will be the difference in postoperative bladder infection between the two groups. The investigators will also investigate differences in reported side effects between the two groups possibly related to antibiotic use. Follow-up will be over six weeks following the procedure.",[34,68],"Postoperative Urinary Tract Infection",[70],"prophylaxis","2025-09-02",{"date":73,"type":46},"2025-09-03",{"date":75,"type":46},"2021-06-28",{"date":77,"type":22},"2026-06-30",{"name":79,"class":80},"University of Alberta","OTHER",1]
