In addition, two different luting protocols will be compared: a preheated microhybrid composite (Enamel Plus HRi) and a resin cement (RelyX Universal).

Sixty patients requiring restoration of an endodontically treated molar with an indirect adhesive overlay will be recruited at the University Dental Clinic of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain). Participants will be randomly assigned to receive restorations fabricated either using the printed hybrid resin or the CAD/CAM composite material. Each material group will be further divided according to the cementation technique used.

All restorations will be fabricated following a digital workflow that includes intraoral scanning, CAD design, and either additive manufacturing (3D printing) or subtractive milling. Adhesive luting procedures will be performed according to standardized clinical protocols.

Clinical evaluations will be performed at baseline, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months, and annually thereafter. The clinical performance of the restorations will be assessed using modified United States Public Health Service (USPHS) criteria, including parameters such as marginal adaptation, contact points, color stability, wear, fracture occurrence, secondary caries, and patient comfort.

The results of this study will provide clinical evidence regarding the behavior of 3D-printed hybrid resin restorations and their potential use as an alternative to conventional CAD/CAM composite materials for indirect restorations in endodontically treated teeth.",[26,27],"Endodontically Treated Teeth","Indirect Restoration",[29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36],"Indirect restoration","CAD-CAM dentistry","3D printing dentistry","Hybrid resin restoration","Overlay restoration","Digital dentistry","VarseoSmile TriniQ","cerasmart","RECRUITING","2026-03-11
2026-03-16","ACTUAL
2024-12-13
2027-06-01
Universitat Internacional de Catalunya","OTHER",1
"100618255","graphene-reinforced-cadcam-restorations-for-mih-affected-molars-in-adolescents-a-prospective-clinical-study-100618255","NCT07329244","Graphene-Reinforced CAD/CAM Restorations for MIH-Affected Molars in Adolescents: A Prospective Clinical Study","Clinical Evaluation of Graphene-Reinforced CAD/CAM Indirect Restorations in Molars Affected by Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH) in Adolescents: A Clinical Study","Inclusion Criteria:

* Adolescents aged 10-16 years.
* Permanent molars with moderate or severe MIH (EAPD criteria).
* Vital and restorable teeth.
* Ability to attend follow-up visits.
* Informed consent from guardian + assent from the minor.

Exclusion Criteria:

* Fluorosis, amelogenesis imperfecta, or other enamel defects.
* Severe bruxism not controlled.
* Active extensive caries or irreversible pulpitis.
* Systemic conditions affecting enamel or healing.
* Hypersensitivity/allergy to materials/adhesives.
* Use of analgesics/AINEs <24 h before baseline VAS.

 * Orthodontic bands on the study molar.","10 Years","16 Years
30,[23],"This study evaluates the clinical performance, marginal integrity, surface wear, color stability, and postoperative sensitivity of graphene-reinforced CAD/CAM indirect restorations (inlays, onlays, overlays) in molars affected by moderate to severe Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH) in adolescents.
