The study will enroll 16 partially edentulous patients who have inadequate posterior maxillary bone height. Participants will randomly undergo the sinus elevation and implant placement utilizing either a xenograft alone or a mixture of the xenograft and Theravex. The main question the study aims to answer is whether the adjunctive use of Theravex with a xenograft enhances vertical bone gain, bone density, and implant stability compared to using a xenograft alone.",[28],"Internal Sinus Lifting",[30,31,28,32,33,34],"Bone Bioactive Liquid","Theravex Tissue Care","Implant","Xenograft","Sinus augmentation","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-05-30",{"date":38,"type":39},"2026-06-04","ACTUAL",{"date":41,"type":22},"2026-10-01",{"date":43,"type":22},"2029-05-01",{"name":45,"class":46},"Ain Shams University","OTHER",1,{"id":49,"slug":50,"hasResults":11,"nctId":51,"briefTitle":52,"officialTitle":53,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":54,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":55,"enrollmentInfo":56,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":58,"briefSummary":59,"conditions":60,"keywords":61,"overallStatus":35,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":65,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":66,"startDateStruct":68,"completionDateStruct":70,"leadSponsor":72,"locationsCount":4},"100626302","evaluation-of-implant-stability-following-maxillary-sinus-floor-elevation-through-piezoelectric-trans-crestal-approach-versus-crestal-implant-approach-100626302","NCT07433868","Evaluation of Implant Stability Following Maxillary Sinus Floor Elevation Through Piezoelectric Trans-crestal Approach Versus Crestal Implant Approach","Evaluation of Implant Stability Following Maxillary Sinus Floor Elevation Through Piezoelectric Trans-crestal Approach Versus Crestal Implant Approach: A 1-year Randomized Clinical Trial","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients who have at least one missing posterior maxillary tooth with sound adjacent and opposing dentition.\n* Adults above the age of 21.\n* Bone height from 4mm to 6mm under the maxillary sinus assessed in CBCT.\n* Good oral hygiene.\n* Patient accepts to provide an informed consent.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Smokers.\n* Pregnant and lactating females.\n* Medically compromised patients.\n* Patients with untreated active periodontal diseases.\n* Patients with active infection related to the implant site.\n* Patients with parafunctional habits.\n* Patients with Acute or chronic sinusitis.\n* Presence of sinus septa\n* History of radiotherapy or chemotherapy within the past 2 years","55 Years",{"count":57,"type":22},26,[25],"Rehabilitation of the maxillary posterior region is a challenge in every-day clinical practice. Following extraction of maxillary molars, alveolar ridge atrophy along with maxillary sinus pneumatization decrease the bone volume and increase implant placement complexity (Lyu et al., 2023). Several surgical procedures have been proposed to overcome these complications, including; short implants (Bechara et al., 2017), tilted implants (Meng and Zhang, 2022) as well as different sinus floor elevation techniques (Irinakis, 2011, Bishbish et al., 2023, Dragonas et al., 2023). Crestal maxillary sinus floor elevation has been considered a predictable and less invasive approach, providing sufficient vertical ridge height with high rates of implant survival (Guruprasad et al., 2024). However, there's limited body of evidence comparing the efficacy of different trans-crestal approaches as PISE and crestal implant approach with no bone graft. Thus, further clinical trials are recommended to determine whether the adjunctive use of piezoelectric instrumentation in internal sinus elevation offers significant clinical advantages over the crestal implant approach.",[28],[62,63,64],"crestal implant approach","PISE","implant stability","2026-02-26",{"date":67,"type":39},"2026-03-02",{"date":69,"type":22},"2026-03-01",{"date":71,"type":22},"2027-05-01",{"name":73,"class":74},"International Dental Contiuing Education","NETWORK"]
