It will specifically compare the glycemic response between patients with type 2 diabetes and those without diabetes.\n\nThe main questions it aims to answer are:\n\nDoes the injection cause higher or longer-lasting blood glucose elevation in diabetic patients compared to non-diabetic patients? How do the mean glucose level and Time in Range (TIR) change after the injection in both groups?\n\nResearchers will compare a Type 2 Diabetes group to a Non-Diabetes group to see the differences in glycemic fluctuations using a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) device.\n\nParticipants will:\n\n* Wear a small CGM sensor on their arm for about 15 days to monitor blood glucose levels continuously\n* Receive an epidural steroid injection containing 5 mg of dexamethasone on Day 3\n* Visit the clinic 3 times (Day 1, Day 3, and Day 15) for sensor attachment, the injection procedure, and data collection",[26,27,28,29,30],"Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM)","Hyperglycemia","Radicular Pain","Spinal Stenosis","Intervertebral Disc Herniation",[32,33,34,35,36],"epidural steroid injection","Continuous Glucose Monitoring","Dexamethasone","Glycemic Variability","Time in range","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-04-07",{"date":40,"type":41},"2026-04-09","ACTUAL",{"date":43,"type":22},"2026-04-20",{"date":45,"type":22},"2026-12-31",{"name":47,"class":48},"Korea University Anam Hospital","OTHER",1,{"id":51,"slug":52,"hasResults":11,"nctId":53,"briefTitle":54,"officialTitle":55,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":56,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":4,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":57,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":4,"briefSummary":59,"conditions":60,"keywords":65,"overallStatus":69,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":70,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":71,"startDateStruct":73,"completionDateStruct":75,"leadSponsor":77,"locationsCount":49},"100228914","the-effect-of-integrated-cam-treatment-in-hospitalized-patients-100228914","NCT02257723","The Effect of Integrated CAM Treatment in Hospitalized Patients","The Effect of Integrated CAM Treatment in Patients Hospitalized at a Korean Medicine Hospital","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients hospitalized due to spine or joint diseases\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Main complaint other than back pain, radiating leg pain, neck pain, radiating arm pain, knee pain or shoulder pain\n* Cause of pain non-related to spine, joint or soft tissue; for example, spinal tumors, pregnancy, urolithiasis, etc.\n* Refusal to provide the information needed for clinical research",{"count":58,"type":22},100000,"This study investigates the effect of hospital-based intensive non-surgical treatment in musculoskeletal patients admitted to an integrated hospital that offers both complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and conventional medicine treatment.",[61,62,63,64,30,29],"Low Back Pain","Neck Pain","Knee Pain","Shoulder Pain",[66,67,68],"Inpatient care","Complementary and alternative medicine","Integrated medicine","RECRUITING","2023-09-26",{"date":72,"type":41},"2023-09-28",{"date":74,"type":41},"2012-01",{"date":76,"type":22},"2040-12",{"name":78,"class":48},"Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine"]
