The primary aim of this cohort is to characterize the continuous blood glucose response to dietary intake and physical activity among pregnant women with GDM over 2 weeks, and to facilitate the development of personalized nutritional\u002Flifestyle recommendation among these patients. Another aim of the WGDC is to investigate the association of dietary and physical activity together with continuous glucose change during pregnancy on the adverse birth outcomes including preterm birth, macrosomia and large-for-gestational-age birth. The secondary aim is to investigate the prospective associations of diet, physical activity and continuous glucose change over 2 weeks among the patients with long-term metabolic health of the women and their offspring.",[26,27,28,29],"Gestational Diabetes Mellitus","Intrauterine Hyperglycemia","Birth Outcome, Adverse","Nutrition, Healthy",[31,32,33],"Precision Nutrition","Host and Microbiome","Birth Outcomes","RECRUITING","2025-03-30",{"date":37,"type":38},"2025-04-03","ACTUAL",{"date":40,"type":38},"2023-03-21",{"date":42,"type":20},"2033-03-21",{"name":44,"class":45},"Westlake University","OTHER",1,{"id":48,"slug":49,"hasResults":11,"nctId":50,"briefTitle":51,"officialTitle":51,"acronym":52,"eligibilityCriteria":53,"healthyVolunteers":54,"sex":55,"minAge":4,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":56,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":58,"phases":4,"briefSummary":59,"conditions":60,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":34,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":65,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":66,"startDateStruct":68,"completionDateStruct":70,"leadSponsor":72,"locationsCount":46},"100249529","the-born-in-guangzhou-cohort-study-bigcs-100249529","NCT02526901","The Born in Guangzhou Cohort Study (BIGCS)","BIGCS","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Pregnant women with \\\u003C20 weeks of gestation\n* Pregnant women intended to eventually deliver in Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center\n* Permanent residents or families intended to remain in Guangzhou with their child for ≥3 years",true,"ALL",{"count":57,"type":20},30000,"OBSERVATIONAL","The Born in Guangzhou Cohort Study (BIGCS) was established to investigate the short- and long-term effects of exposure in early life on health consequences in Guangzhou, China.
