Advances in treatment have caused the number of breast cancer survivors to grow. As this number increases, there are reported unmet supportive care needs in this population, including psychological distress and limitations in physical functioning. To address these needs, many cancer centers offer programming on a variety of topics including psychological services, exercise counseling, and nutrition counseling. Research has shown that while interest in these survivorship programs is high, participation remains low, especially among minority women. Navigation is a healthcare service that is designed to guide a patient through the healthcare system and reduce barriers to timely screening, follow-up, diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care. The navigation program in this trial is specifically focused on helping breast cancer survivors schedule and attend survivorship consultation appointments as well as providing additional support to underserved/vulnerable patients. A navigation program may be effective in improving survivorship support service participation among non-metastatic breast cancer survivors.",[26,27,28,29,30],"Anatomic Stage 0 Breast Cancer AJCC v8","Anatomic Stage I Breast Cancer AJCC v8","Anatomic Stage II Breast Cancer AJCC v8","Anatomic Stage III Breast Cancer AJCC v8","Localized Breast Carcinoma","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-07-07
2026-07-13","ACTUAL
2026-09-01
2027-12-31
Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center","OTHER",1
"100538932","manual-lymphatic-drainage-breast-massage-in-breast-cancer-patients-after-breast-conserving-surgery-100538932","NCT06297265","Manual Lymphatic Drainage Breast Massage in Breast Cancer Patients After Breast Conserving Surgery","Feasibility and Effects of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Breast Massage in Breast Cancer Patients Undergoing Adjuvant Radiation Therapy","Inclusion Criteria:

* Female with native breasts and localized breast cancer who are status post-lumpectomy surgery, will receive whole breast radiation therapy with/without nodal irradiation, with standard fractionation or moderate hypofractionation
* Age \\>= 18 years
* Ability to understand and the willingness to sign a written informed consent in English or Spanish

Exclusion Criteria:

* Underlying diagnosis of chronic inflammatory illness or collagen vascular disorder, e.g. scleroderma, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia as these conditions may significantly affect the likelihood and magnitude of radiation related toxicity
* Uncontrolled intercurrent illness including, but not limited to, ongoing or active infection, symptomatic congestive heart failure, unstable angina pectoris, unstable cardiac arrhythmia, or psychiatric illness/social situations that would limit compliance with study requirements
* Inability to provide written informed consent in English or Spanish
* Patients receiving ultra-hypofractionation, and/or partial breast or chest wall radiation therapy are excluded
50,[23],"This phase II trial evaluates manual lymphatic drainage breast massage for reducing treatment-related side effects in women undergoing radiation therapy after breast conserving surgery for breast cancer that has not spread to other parts of the body (localized). Aromatase inhibitors are a type of drug commonly used for the treatment or prevention of breast cancer. Many people who receive aromatase inhibitors experience musculoskeletal symptoms (symptoms relating to bones and muscles, such as joint pain or stiffness). Research has shown there may be an association between reduced levels of beneficial gut bacteria and the development of aromatase inhibitor-associated musculoskeletal symptoms.
