High-risk women were defined in two studies: Study A; women with high mammographic density, representing approximately 3-5% of screened women, and Study B; women with a false-positive screening result. Women in Study A will be offered an additional screening examination with digital breast tomosynthesis immediately within 6 months after the screening examination. Women in Study B will be offered an additional standard digital mammography examination one year after their initial screening.",[28,29,30],"Breast Cancer","Mammographic Breast Density","Risk Stratification",[32,33,34],"Breast Cancer Screening","personalized screening","breast cancer screening; personalized screening","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-01-27",{"date":38,"type":39},"2026-01-29","ACTUAL",{"date":41,"type":23},"2026-01",{"date":43,"type":23},"2033-12",{"name":45,"class":46},"Norwegian Institute of Public Health","OTHER_GOV",{"id":48,"slug":49,"hasResults":11,"nctId":50,"briefTitle":51,"officialTitle":52,"acronym":53,"eligibilityCriteria":54,"healthyVolunteers":17,"sex":18,"minAge":55,"maxAge":56,"enrollmentInfo":57,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":59,"phases":60,"briefSummary":62,"conditions":63,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":65,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":66,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":67,"startDateStruct":69,"completionDateStruct":71,"leadSponsor":73,"locationsCount":76},"100431949","contrast-enhanced-spectral-mammography-cesm-breast-cancer-screening-100431949","NCT04904757","Contrast-enhanced Spectral Mammography (CESM) Breast Cancer Screening","Willingness of Women to Undergo a Contrast-enhanced Spectral Mammography (CESM) for Breast Cancer Screening and Their Experience Before and After CESM","S-CESM","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* • Female\n\n * 40 to 69 years\n * Previous normal mammogram (BI-RADS 1 or 2) showing heterogeneous or extremely dense breast tissue within last 24 months\n * Scheduled for screening mammogram as part of the patient's clinical care\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* • No mammogram within last 24 months\n\n * Fatty or scattered fibroglandular tissue on last mammogram\n * History of allergy to iodinated contrast\n * History of renal disease or renal function abnormalities\n * Pregnant women\n * History of diabetes\n * History of paraproteinemia syndromes such as multiple myeloma\n * History of collagen vascular disease\n * History of vascular disease (coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, carotid disease, peripheral vascular disease, or known visceral artery disease)\n * Previously identified as high risk for breast cancer (\\>20% lifetime risk)\n * Asthma\n * Sickle Cell Anemia\n * Currently on Dialysis","40 Years","69 Years",{"count":58,"type":23},210,"INTERVENTIONAL",[61],"NA","The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well women may adopt a Contrast-enhanced Spectral Mammography (CESM) as their yearly breast screening test compared to the standard 2-D or 3-D mammogram.",[29,64],"Mammography","RECRUITING","2022-11-16",{"date":68,"type":39},"2022-11-17",{"date":70,"type":39},"2019-09-19",{"date":72,"type":23},"2023-06",{"name":74,"class":75},"University of Virginia","OTHER",1]
