While oral PrEP is effective, its reliance on daily adherence and regular follow-up has limited impact for many young women. Lenacapavir (LEN), the first long-acting injectable PrEP administered twice yearly, offers a promising alternative that could improve persistence and protection. However, LEN's potential may be undermined by misinformation, particularly around safety and trust, which has been shown in other HIV prevention contexts to reduce uptake and demand. Proactive strategies, such as psychological inoculation, are therefore needed to prebunk misinformation and support future LEN implementation among AGYW.\n\nPrimary objective: To compare changes in intentions to receive Lenacapavir following misinformation exposure in groups with and without psychological inoculation and behavioural economics boost.\n\nSecondary objectives: (1) To compare believability and persuasiveness of misinformation claims and motivational threat associated with misinformation in groups with and without psychological inoculation and behavioural economics boost. (2) To explore subgroup effects by relevant sociodemographic and behavioural factors including HIV risk, PrEP history, COVID-19 vaccine history, general vaccine hesitancy, and information avoidance. The investigators will conduct a two-arm randomized controlled trial of 2-3 inoculation messages that address emerging myths and misinformation about Lenacapavir in South Africa. Participants will be randomly assigned to a control group or an intervention arm: enhanced inoculation message with insights from behavioural economics.",[29,30],"Misinformation","Lenacapavir",[32,30,33,34],"South Africa","Adolescent Girls and Young WOmen","PrEP","RECRUITING","2026-06-24",{"date":38,"type":39},"2026-06-26","ACTUAL",{"date":41,"type":39},"2026-05-19",{"date":43,"type":23},"2029-04",{"name":45,"class":46},"University of Pennsylvania","OTHER",1,{"id":49,"slug":50,"hasResults":11,"nctId":51,"briefTitle":52,"officialTitle":53,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":54,"healthyVolunteers":17,"sex":55,"minAge":19,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":56,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":24,"phases":58,"briefSummary":59,"conditions":60,"keywords":61,"overallStatus":35,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":66,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":67,"startDateStruct":69,"completionDateStruct":71,"leadSponsor":73,"locationsCount":47},"100588882","vaccine-confidence-and-infodemic-in-southeast-asias-nusantara-sociocultural-sphere-100588882","NCT06947187","Vaccine Confidence and Infodemic in Southeast Asia's Nusantara Sociocultural Sphere","Vaccine Confidence and Infodemic in Southeast Asia's Nusantara Sociocultural Sphere: A Transdisciplinary, Transnational Study","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* At least 18 years old\n* Live in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, or Singapore\n* Fluent in Bahasa Melayu or Bahasa Indonesia\n* Watch social media content in Bahasa Melayu or Bahasa Indonesia every day\n* Access to stable Internet on smartphone or laptop to complete the experiment without interruption\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Individuals who were involved in the online human-centered design thinking workshops or the in-person focus-group discussions will not be eligible to participate in RCT.
