In the general population and individuals with disabilities, increasing physical activity levels and reducing sedentary time can be an effective, non-pharmacological treatment to improve mental health and quality of life. Such interventions have not yet been developed or evaluated in people with MPS.\n\nThe aim of this study is to co-design a physical activity and sedentary behaviour intervention tailored to the needs of adults with MPS. The study will seek to gain the expertise of adults with MPS, specialist stakeholders (physicians and clinical nurse specialists) and lay specialist stakeholders (family and friends of adults with MPS and members of staff and volunteers at the Society for Mucopolysaccharide Diseases). A range of views and experiences of physical activity and sedentary behaviour will be explored via focus groups (with individuals with MPS and lay specialist stakeholders) and semi-structured interviews (with specialist stakeholders). The information gathered from the focus groups and interviews will then be utilised to inform participatory workshops (with individuals with MPS) to test intervention concepts. Data from these activities will inform the design of a future intervention.",[25],"Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS)","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-02-27",{"date":29,"type":30},"2026-03-04","ACTUAL",{"date":32,"type":21},"2026-03-09",{"date":34,"type":21},"2026-09-30",{"name":36,"class":37},"Brunel University","OTHER",1,{"id":40,"slug":41,"hasResults":11,"nctId":42,"briefTitle":43,"officialTitle":44,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":45,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":46,"maxAge":18,"enrollmentInfo":47,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":49,"phases":50,"briefSummary":52,"conditions":53,"keywords":56,"overallStatus":26,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":59,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":60,"startDateStruct":62,"completionDateStruct":64,"leadSponsor":66,"locationsCount":4},"100603467","nutritional-assessment-in-patient-of-mucopolysaccharide--100603467","NCT07136896","Nutritional Assessment in Patient of Mucopolysaccharide \"","Nutritional Assessment of Patient of Mucopolysaccharide","Inclusion Criteria:Confirmed diagnosis of mucopolysaccharidosis (any subtype) by enzymatic assay or genetic testing\n\nAge between 1 and 18 years\n\nStable clinical condition at time of enrollment\n\nInformed consent obtained from parent\u002Fguardian, and assent from child when applicable -\n\nExclusion Criteria:Presence of other chronic conditions affecting growth or nutrition (e.g., untreated endocrine disorders, severe cardiac failure unrelated to MPS)\n\nAcute illness or hospitalization within the last 2 weeks prior to assessment\n\nPatients who received nutritional supplementation or dietary intervention within 3 months prior to enrollment that could affect baseline nutritional assessment\n\nRefusal or inability to comply with study assessments\n\n\\-","1 Year",{"count":48,"type":21},40,"INTERVENTIONAL",[51],"NA","\" Nutritional assessment in patients of Mucopolysaccharide \"",[25,54,55],"Malnutrition (Calorie)","Undernutrition",[57,58],"Caloric deficiency","Pediatric nutrition","2025-08-15",{"date":61,"type":30},"2025-08-22",{"date":63,"type":21},"2025-08-16",{"date":65,"type":21},"2026-08-30",{"name":67,"class":37},"Assiut University"]
