The intervention group will receive real-time visualization of dental conditions and brushing techniques using an intraoral camera, while the control group will receive standard verbal education using a brushing model. Outcomes include children's plaque and gum health and ICDAS caries scores. Secondary outcomes include Occlusal Plaque Index (OPI) on first molars. Assessments will be conducted at baseline and 1-month follow-up. This study tests whether intraoral camera-assisted education leads to better oral hygiene outcomes in children, improves parents' oral health literacy, and reduces plaque accumulation on the first permanent molars compared to standard verbal education.",[28,29,30,31,32,33],"Oral Health Literacy","Oral Health Care","Intraoral Images","Periodontal Index","Gingival Index","Caries",[35,29,36],"Oral health literacy","İntraoral camera","RECRUITING","2026-01-07",{"date":40,"type":41},"2026-01-09","ACTUAL",{"date":43,"type":41},"2025-02-05",{"date":45,"type":22},"2026-05",{"name":47,"class":48},"Aydin Adnan Menderes University","OTHER",1,{"id":51,"slug":52,"hasResults":11,"nctId":53,"briefTitle":54,"officialTitle":55,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":56,"healthyVolunteers":16,"sex":17,"minAge":57,"maxAge":58,"enrollmentInfo":59,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":61,"briefSummary":62,"conditions":63,"keywords":65,"overallStatus":37,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":72,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":73,"startDateStruct":75,"completionDateStruct":77,"leadSponsor":79,"locationsCount":49},"100572519","mobile-oral-health-intervention-effectiveness-on-orthodontic-patients-oral-hygiene-and-oral-health-literacy-100572519","NCT06734325","Mobile Oral Health Intervention Effectiveness on Orthodontic Patients' Oral Hygiene and Oral Health Literacy","Effectiveness of Mobile Oral Health Intervention on Oral Hygiene and Oral Health Literacy Among Orthodontic Patients: a Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial)","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n1. Oral Health Literacy (OHL) plays a role in an individual's ability to understand and implement oral hygiene instructions effectively. Mobile oral health interventions involve the use of mobile technology such as smartphones to improve oral hygiene practices and outcomes.\n\nAim of the study: To assess the effectiveness of a mobile oral health intervention using WhatsApp messages as compared to standard oral hygiene instructions on oral hygiene status and OHL level among orthodontic patients.",[28,64],"Oral Hygiene",[66,67,68,69,70,71],"oral health literacy","oral hygiene","orthodontic patients","mobile oral health intervention","whatsapp","messages","2024-12-20",{"date":74,"type":41},"2024-12-24",{"date":76,"type":41},"2024-11-10",{"date":78,"type":22},"2025-06",{"name":80,"class":48},"Alexandria University"]
