The main questions it aims to answer are:\n\n* Does the combined distal femoral nerve block reduce the amount of opioid needed in the post-anesthesia recovery room?\n* Does it preserve quadriceps muscle strength while improving postoperative pain control?\n\nResearchers will compare the combined distal femoral nerve block to a saphenous nerve block alone to see if the combined block provides better analgesia without reducing leg strength.\n\nParticipants will:\n\n* Receive either the combined distal femoral nerve block or the saphenous nerve block alone before surgery.\n* Also receive standard multimodal pain management, including anesthesia, surgical site infiltration, and postoperative pain medications.\n* Be assessed for pain, opioid use, nausea and vomiting, quadriceps strength, time to first standing, hospital stay length, and patient satisfaction from surgery until discharge.",[27,28],"Pain After Total Knee Arthroplasty","Pain Management",[30,31,32,33,34,35,36],"total knee arthroplasty","distal femoral nerve block","saphenous nerve block","femoral triangle block","postoperative pain","opioid consumption","regional anesthesia","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-06-04",{"date":40,"type":41},"2026-06-05","ACTUAL",{"date":43,"type":21},"2026-05-25",{"date":45,"type":21},"2027-05-25",{"name":47,"class":48},"Ramsay Générale de Santé","OTHER"]
