When this stage lasts longer than expected, it can increase the chance of complications such as assisted delivery with vacuum or forceps, cesarean delivery, heavy bleeding after delivery, and certain neonatal complications. Although healthcare providers routinely track the duration of the second stage, patients are not always told how long they have been pushing. Some providers believe that sharing this information may help motivate patients and improve their sense of control, while others worry that it could increase stress or pressure.\n\nIn this study, participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. In the intervention group, patients will receive regular updates about how long they have been pushing during the second stage of labor, and a visible timer will be used. In the comparison group, patients will receive standard care, which does not include structured time updates.\n\nAll participants will receive the same medical care otherwise. The study will measure the length of the second stage of labor as well as maternal and neonatal outcomes such as the type of delivery, postpartum complications, newborn health indicators, and admission to the neonatal intensive care unit. Participants will also be asked to complete a short questionnaire after delivery about their childbirth experience and sense of control during labor.\n\nThe risks of this study are minimal because the intervention involves only providing information about time during labor. There are no changes to medical treatment or standard care. The information gained from this research may help clinicians improve communication with patients during labor and may identify simple ways to enhance patient experience and potentially improve labor outcomes.\n\nParticipation in the study is voluntary, and patients may decline or withdraw at any time without affecting the care they receive.",[26,27,28,29,30,31],"Labor, Second Stage","Motivation","Feedback, Psychological","Self Efficacy","Personal Satisfaction","Perception","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-06-15",{"date":35,"type":36},"2026-06-17","ACTUAL",{"date":38,"type":20},"2026-07-01",{"date":40,"type":20},"2029-07-01",{"name":42,"class":43},"Valmiki Vijay Seeraj","OTHER",{"id":45,"slug":46,"hasResults":11,"nctId":47,"briefTitle":48,"officialTitle":49,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":50,"healthyVolunteers":51,"sex":16,"minAge":52,"maxAge":53,"enrollmentInfo":54,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":56,"briefSummary":57,"conditions":58,"keywords":62,"overallStatus":32,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":64,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":65,"startDateStruct":67,"completionDateStruct":68,"leadSponsor":70,"locationsCount":73},"100640834","hbm-based-intervention-on-cancer-screening-100640834","NCT07583693","HBM-Based Intervention on Cancer Screening","The Effect of Health Belief Model-Based Intervention on Women's Perceptions and Attitudes Toward Cancer Screening: A Quasi-Experimental Study","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Being female\n* Being between the ages of 30 and 70\n* Being able to communicate in Turkish\n* Not having undergone regular cancer screenings\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Having a previous diagnosis of any type of cancer\n* Being under medical follow-up for suspected cancer\n* Having cognitive impairment that prevents effective communication",true,"30 Years","70 Years",{"count":55,"type":20},50,[23],"The aim of this study is to examine the effect of an intervention-consisting of a Health Belief Model-based educational session on the importance of early diagnosis and cancer screening, along with SMS-supported reminders-on the perceptions and attitudes toward cancer screening among women aged 30-70 who do not undergo regular screenings.
