Patients aged 18-60 years\n2. Either gender\n3. ASA I to II\n4. Patients planned for elective surgery under general anesthesia not lasting more than 4 hours.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n1. Patients requiring more than 2 attempts for successful intubation\n2. Patients undergoing surgeries of oral cavity or pharynx\n3. Mallampati Score of 3 or 4\n4. Patients with upper respiratory tract infection\n5. Patients already taking steroids\n6. Use of nasogastric tube perioperatively",true,"ALL","18 Years","60 Years",{"count":21,"type":22},60,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[25,26],"PHASE1","PHASE2","The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the incidence of postoperative sore throat in adult patients of either gender belonging to ASA I or II ,undergoing endotracheal intubation using betamethasone gel versus lidocaine gel. It aims to determine\n\n1: Difference in efficacy of Betamethasone gel and lidocaine gel in prevention of post operative sore throat after endotracheal intubation.\n\nPatients will be assessed for the presence of a sore throat at 6 hours and 24 hours postoperatively.
