Which cervical preparation strategy provides better patient tolerance, as assessed by pain intensity during the procedure?\n\nResearchers will compare four cervical preparation protocols (14-day vaginal estrogen, 7-day vaginal estrogen, oral misoprostol, and no cervical preparation) to determine their effects on procedural success, pain, procedure duration, and perioperative complications.\n\nParticipants will be randomly assigned to one of the four cervical preparation protocols. They will undergo office hysteroscopy using a vaginoscopic (\"no touch\") approach without anesthesia. Then, they will have pain assessed using a visual analog scale (VAS) during the procedure. Finally, these informations will be collected: procedural success, procedure duration, bleeding, and perioperative complications.",[25,26,27,28,29],"Postmenopausal Women","Intrauterine Diseases","Endometrial Pathology","Postmenopausal Bleeding","Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB)",[31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38,39],"Postmenopausal women","Postmenopausal bleeding","Office hysteroscopy","Cervical preparation","Vaginal estrogen","Oral misoprostol","Visual Analog Scale","Vaginoscopy","No touch approach","RECRUITING","2026-07-09",{"date":43,"type":44},"2026-07-13","ACTUAL",{"date":46,"type":44},"2026-01-02",{"date":48,"type":19},"2026-08-20",{"name":50,"class":51},"Faculty of Medicine of Tunis","OTHER",1,{"id":54,"slug":55,"hasResults":11,"nctId":56,"briefTitle":57,"officialTitle":58,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":59,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":4,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":60,"targetDuration":62,"studyType":63,"phases":4,"briefSummary":64,"conditions":65,"keywords":66,"overallStatus":40,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":72,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":73,"startDateStruct":75,"completionDateStruct":77,"leadSponsor":79,"locationsCount":81},"100623761","evaluation-of-dna-methylation-markers-for-endometrial-cancer-risk-stratification-using-patient-collected-urine-and-vaginal-samples-and-clinician-collected-cervical-samples-from-women-with-postmenopausal-bleeding-100623761","NCT07400835","Evaluation of DNA Methylation Markers for Endometrial Cancer Risk-stratification Using Patient-collected Urine and Vaginal Samples and Clinician-collected Cervical Samples From Women With Postmenopausal Bleeding","The ENDOMETRIAL Study: EvaluatioN of DNA methylatiOn Markers for EndomeTrial Cancer Risk-stratification Using Patient-collected urIne and vAginal Samples and Clinician-collected Cervical Samples From Women With Postmenopausal bLeeding","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Postmenopausal bleeding (defined as vaginal bleeding after absence of periods for ≥ 12 months) undergoing diagnostic evaluation for EC at gynaecological departments\n* Treated in Central Denmark Region or Southern Denmark Region, Denmark\n* Able to provide written consent for participation\n* Able to read and understand Danish\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Other concurrent cancer diagnosis besides diagnostic evaluation for postmenopausal bleeding\n* Withdrawal of consent\n* Hysterectomized",{"count":61,"type":19},600,"2 Years","OBSERVATIONAL","The goal of this observational study is to investigate the clinical utility of DNA-methylation testing in urine and vaginal samples collected by patients and cervical samples collected by clinicians, to determine the risk of endometrial cancer in symptomatic women with postmenopausal bleeding.
