Prior research suggests that AI youth that are culturally engaged experience better health outcomes. Additionally, the use of culturally-specific after-school programs has been shown to increase feasibility and sustainability of prevention programs. In order to achieve the goals of this proposed study, the Principal Investigator (PI) will work with local community members and existing tribal partners to implement the 10-session culturally-grounded after-school program and evaluate the program with the following aims:\n\nSpecific Aim 3 (R00): Examine the effectiveness of NS (increases exposure to local cultural values and activities), a program that seeks to prevent or decrease substance use by strengthening self-esteem, resilience, and cultural identity with 2 Indigenous communities in Arizona using a wait-list control design with 3 data collection timepoints and participant interviews.",[28,29,30,31],"Substance Use","Self Esteem","Youth Drinking","Prevention, Suicide",[33,34,35,36],"American Indian","Adolescent Health","Prevention","After-School Programs","RECRUITING","2026-02-13",{"date":40,"type":41},"2026-02-17","ACTUAL",{"date":43,"type":41},"2025-01-09",{"date":45,"type":22},"2027-08-31",{"name":47,"class":48},"Arizona State University","OTHER",{"id":50,"slug":51,"hasResults":11,"nctId":52,"briefTitle":53,"officialTitle":53,"acronym":54,"eligibilityCriteria":55,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":56,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":57,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":59,"briefSummary":60,"conditions":61,"keywords":65,"overallStatus":37,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":68,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":69,"startDateStruct":71,"completionDateStruct":73,"leadSponsor":75,"locationsCount":77},"100508672","implicit-and-explicit-assessment-of-suicide-risk-100508672","NCT05903469","Implicit and Explicit Assessment of Suicide Risk","MIERIS","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Person presenting to emergencies for psychiatric reasons\n* Adult person\n* Free and informed consent signed\n* Person speaking and writing French fluently\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Neurological disorders or major cognitive deterioration: presence of confusion\n* Acute psychotic decompensation\n* Troubled acute behavior\n* Abuse Impregnation of a toxic substance and \u002F or drug impairing cognitive functions at the time of assessment\n* Adult under protective measure.","18 Years",{"count":58,"type":22},108,[25],"In 2007 Nock \\& Banaji developed a so-called implicit suicide risk measurement using a computer tool: the Implicit Association Test (IAT). This measurement, associated with traditional evaluations, makes it possible to better predict suicidal recurrence. In 2020, the Poitiers team of Tello was able to replicate these results on a French population. However, although a high IAT score predicts the onset of suicide at 1 year, there is no data on how this score changes over time nor even data concerning the measure's ability to differentiate a population with explicit suicidal ideation from a population without explicit suicidal ideation. The investigators therefore seek to demonstrate an evolution of implicit suicidal ideation over time by replicating the measurement at inclusion, at 6 months and at 12 months, for different patient profiles: Suicidal ideation vs No suicidal ideation and suicide attempt vs no suicide attempt. Patients will be recruited from the emergency-unit of CHU Amiens-Picardie and will take the suicide-IAT as well as various questionnaires.",[62,63,31,64],"Implicit Association Test","Suicide","Suicide Risk Factor",[66,63,31,67],"Implicit association test","suicide risk factor","2025-05-23",{"date":70,"type":41},"2025-05-29",{"date":72,"type":41},"2022-06-28",{"date":74,"type":22},"2026-01",{"name":76,"class":48},"Centre Hospitalier Universitaire, Amiens",1]
