The main question to be answered is:\n\nCan participating in a physical intervention involving alternative sports help children improve their strength, speed, endurance, motor skills, and enjoyment of physical activity? For 8 weeks, during physical education classes, researchers will compare an intervention with alternative sports (korfball, flag football, kin-ball, and ultimate frisbee) with the usual classes that students receive according to their study program, to see if alternative sports improve physical and psychological aspects.\n\nParticipants must:\n\n* Perform physical and motor tests to determine their initial physical condition\n* Complete a questionnaire to determine their level of enjoyment during physical activity.\n* Actively participate in an 8-week intervention during physical education classes.\n* Monitor their level of physical activity during classes using a device (accelerometer).\n* Authorize the use of their first semester grades.\n* At the end of the intervention, physical and motor tests will be performed again to assess progress and physical changes.\n\nFor eight weeks, researchers will conduct a study in physical education classes to compare two types of teaching: one based on alternative sports (such as korfball, flag football, kin-ball, and ultimate frisbee) and another with traditional school program classes to see if children improve physically and psychologically.",[29,30],"Primary School Students","Healthy",[32,33,34,35,36],"physical fitness","motor skills","children","physical interventions","alternative sports","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-04-27",{"date":40,"type":41},"2026-05-01","ACTUAL",{"date":43,"type":23},"2026-04-01",{"date":45,"type":23},"2026-09-12",{"name":47,"class":48},"Universidad Católica del Maule","OTHER",1,{"id":51,"slug":52,"hasResults":11,"nctId":53,"briefTitle":54,"officialTitle":55,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":56,"healthyVolunteers":17,"sex":18,"minAge":4,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":57,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":24,"phases":59,"briefSummary":60,"conditions":61,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":37,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":62,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":63,"startDateStruct":65,"completionDateStruct":67,"leadSponsor":69,"locationsCount":49},"100629036","continuous-music-and-sports-training-for-children-100629036","NCT07469423","Continuous Music and Sports Training for Children","JC Project MuSE: Continuous Music and Sports Training for Primary School Children","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Primary two to four students and their parents or guardians at local government schools or aided schools\n* The school has 30% or more of their total student population receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) and School Textbook Assistance\n* Have provided informed consent indicating participation in the study\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Presence of significant physical, psychological, and cognitive comorbidities that will hinder participation in research procedures and the designed interventions of continuous music or sports training.",{"count":58,"type":23},620,[26],"The current study, JC Project MuSE, is a multi-year project aimed at initiating transformative changes in the lives of young learners in schools with a lower socio-economic background through the integration of music and sports education. The research project posits that engaging in structured music and sports programmes can lead to significant improvements in educational performance through the enhancement of executive functions. The research further explores the longitudinal effects of continuous music and sports training, examining the impact of these interventions on developing a greater sense of appreciation for these activities in these young learners.
