Variables such as attachment, fear, and self-efficacy are often considered independently. In this process, it is common for expectant mothers to experience feelings of uncertainty and anxiety about labour. Such intense fear of birth may weaken maternal attachment and make it difficult for her to establish a healthy emotional relationship with her baby. In addition, this fear may negatively affect the mother's mental well-being and increase the risk of depression and anxiety.\n\nIn this context, emotional liberation techniques (EFT) and virtual reality (VR) applications stand out as effective nonpharmacological methods used to reduce fear of childbirth in primiparous pregnant women. EFT is a technique that provides relaxation by touching the energy meridians that help the person to regulate negative emotions and cope with stress. SG, on the other hand, allows expectant mothers to interact with simulations similar to the real world in a virtual environment, providing therapeutic benefits through distraction, stress reduction and cognitive restructuring, allowing them to manage their fears about birth and enter the process more prepared. The use of SLT and SG, especially for primiparous pregnant women, can alleviate these women's anxiety about childbirth and enable them to approach the process in a safer and more conscious manner. Thus, it may also help to reduce the negative effects on the mother's postnatal attachment and mental health.\n\nThis study aims to examine the effects of SLT and SG practices on fear of childbirth, attachment and mental well-being, and to reveal the effects of these two methods on primiparous pregnant women. In this context, this study will fill the gap in the literature by providing a new perspective in clinical practice and antenatal education programmes and will make important contributions to increase antenatal attachment and mental well-being in primiparous pregnancy.",[31,59,60,61,33,28],"Mental Well-being","Attachment","Emotional Freedom Technique","RECRUITING","2025-05-24",{"date":65,"type":39},"2025-05-30",{"date":67,"type":39},"2025-01-31",{"date":69,"type":22},"2026-05-30",{"name":71,"class":46},"Inonu University",1,{"id":74,"slug":75,"hasResults":11,"nctId":76,"briefTitle":77,"officialTitle":77,"acronym":78,"eligibilityCriteria":79,"healthyVolunteers":16,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":80,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":82,"briefSummary":83,"conditions":84,"keywords":89,"overallStatus":35,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":94,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":95,"startDateStruct":97,"completionDateStruct":99,"leadSponsor":101,"locationsCount":72},"100566917","the-effects-of-video-based-and-practical-newborn-bathing-education-provided-to-primiparous-pregnant-women-during-the-third-trimester-on-knowledge-anxiety-and-bonding-during-the-first-bath-a-randomized-controlled-trial-100566917","NCT06661408","The Effects of Video-Based and Practical Newborn Bathing Education Provided to Primiparous Pregnant Women During the Third Trimester on Knowledge, Anxiety, and Bonding During the First Bath: A Randomized Controlled Trial","NewbornBathing","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Can speak and understand Turkish,\n* 18 years of age or older,\n* Literate,\n* Primiparous,\n* In the third trimester of pregnancy,\n* A singleton pregnancy,\n* No psychiatric illness,\n* Who have not received any training on newborn bathing before,\n* Her baby was not diagnosed with a fetal anomaly,\n* With a smartphone and internet,\n* Residing in the province of Kahramanmaras and\n* Who agreed to participate in the research\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Preterm labor (\\<37 weeks gestation),\n* Stillbirth,\n* The baby needs intensive care or is hospitalized,\n* The baby has a low birth weight (\\<2500 grams),\n* The one whose baby\\'s first bath was given by someone else,\n* A newborn bathing program was organized at the pregnancy school.\n* Wishing to leave at any stage of the study.",{"count":81,"type":22},144,[25],"This study will be conducted in a randomized controlled experimental research design with pretest, posttest control group.",[85,28,86,87,88],"Newborn Bathing","Anxiety","Bonding","Knowledge",[90,91,92,93],"Newborn","Bathing","Primipar","Education","2024-10-25",{"date":96,"type":39},"2024-10-28",{"date":98,"type":22},"2024-12-15",{"date":100,"type":22},"2025-08-15",{"name":102,"class":46},"Kahramanmaras Sutcu Imam University"]
