Faricimab is a new anti-VEGF drug which inhibits both VEGF-A and Ang-2 and it is used for the treatment of diabetic macular edema and neovascular age related macular degeneration. It is known that previous anti-VEGF agents has systematic absorption and may cause deterioration in renal function of the patients. However, the effect of Faricimab on kidney function has not been investigated yet. Taking into account that Ang-2 has destructive effect on kidneys, the investigation of the effect of its inhibition in diabetic patients who have already renal function deterioration may provide a valuable information in scientific community.",[25,26,27],"Renal Function Disorder","Diabetic Macular Edema (DME)","Neovascular Age Related Macular Degeneration",[29,30,31,32,33],"renal function","intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF","faricimab","diabetic macular edema","diabetes mellitus","RECRUITING","2025-04-19",{"date":37,"type":38},"2025-04-24","ACTUAL",{"date":40,"type":38},"2025-03-10",{"date":42,"type":19},"2027-03-10",{"name":44,"class":45},"University Hospital, Alexandroupolis","OTHER",{"id":47,"slug":48,"hasResults":11,"nctId":49,"briefTitle":50,"officialTitle":51,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":52,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":53,"maxAge":54,"enrollmentInfo":55,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":57,"phases":4,"briefSummary":58,"conditions":59,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":62,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":63,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":64,"startDateStruct":66,"completionDateStruct":68,"leadSponsor":70,"locationsCount":72},"100584997","effect-of-tenofovir-tdf-on-renal-function-in-patients-with-chronic-hepatitis-b-100584997","NCT06896630","Effect of Tenofovir (TDF) on Renal Function in Patients With Chronic Hepatitis B","Effect of Long-Term Use of Tenofovir (TDF) on Renal Function in Patients With Chronic Hepatitis B","Inclusion Criteria:\n\nAdult male or female patients aged 18 to 60 years.\n\nDiagnosed as HBV-positive.\n\nLong-term use of Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (TDF) for more than five years.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\nPresence of other chronic liver diseases.\n\nDiagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), regardless of etiology.\n\nPatients who refuse to participate in the study.\n\nPatients on combination therapy, including:\n\nInterferon and Nucleoside analogue combination therapy.\n\nMultiple nucleoside analogue combination therapy.","18 Years","60 Years",{"count":56,"type":19},172,"OBSERVATIONAL","Effect of Long-Term Use of Tenofovir (TDF) on Renal Function in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B Over a Five-Year Period",[60,25,61],"Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate","Chronic HBV Infection","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2025-04-02",{"date":65,"type":38},"2025-04-04",{"date":67,"type":19},"2025-04-10",{"date":69,"type":19},"2026-05-01",{"name":71,"class":45},"Assiut University",1]
