These experiences will be examined in relation to colonoscopy findings, including polyp detection, histology, risk stratification, and colorectal cancer detection. In addition, procedure-specific variables such as insertion time, bowel preparation quality, completeness of colonoscopy, medication use, and adenoma detection rate will be analyzed in relation to patient experience.\n\nA key focus is whether the experience of screening colonoscopy influences subsequent participation in the colorectal cancer screening program, particularly among individuals classified as low risk and re-invited for screening after two years. Registry-based follow-up will be used to assess re-participation.\n\nData are collected prospectively from two sources: (1) real-time procedure data entered by healthcare staff during colonoscopy and (2) patient-reported outcomes collected via a questionnaire completed shortly after the procedure. Additional outcome data are obtained from electronic medical records and national health and screening registries.\n\nThe study has no single predefined hypothesis. Instead, it serves as a data-generating platform designed to address both predefined and future research questions related to screening colonoscopy experiences, quality indicators, and screening adherence.",[26,27,28],"Colonoscopy","Screening Colonscopy","Pain",[30,31,32,33,34],"Screening colonoscopy experience","Colorectal cancer screening","Patient-reported outcomes","Pain perception during colonoscopy","Screening re-participation","RECRUITING","2026-01-19",{"date":38,"type":39},"2026-01-20","ACTUAL",{"date":41,"type":39},"2024-09-23",{"date":43,"type":21},"2027-06-30",{"name":45,"class":46},"Esbjerg Hospital - University Hospital of Southern Denmark","OTHER",8,{"id":49,"slug":50,"hasResults":11,"nctId":51,"briefTitle":52,"officialTitle":53,"acronym":54,"eligibilityCriteria":55,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":56,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":57,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":59,"phases":60,"briefSummary":62,"conditions":63,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":35,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":64,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":65,"startDateStruct":67,"completionDateStruct":69,"leadSponsor":71,"locationsCount":73},"100535428","longterm-effectiveness-of-artificial-intelligence-assisted-colonoscopy-on-adenoma-recurrence-100535428","NCT06251700","Longterm Effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence-assisted Colonoscopy on Adenoma Recurrence","Longterm Effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence-assisted Colonoscopy on Adenoma Recurrence - a Prospective Longitudinal Follow-up of Randomized Controlled Trial","ENDOAID-PRO","Inclusion Criteria:\n\nSubjects are eligible if:\n\n(i) They underwent randomization to receive colonoscopy with\u002Fwithout CADe in ENDOAID-TRAIN study \\[NCT04838951\\]; (ii) They are fit and willing to undergo surveillance colonoscopy at year 3; (iii) Written informed consent obtained.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\nSubjects will be excluded from the study if they have any of the followings:\n\n(i) Incomplete colonoscopy during index procedure; (ii) Known residual colorectal neoplasia not removed (except hyperplastic polyps); (iii) Underwent unscheduled interval colonoscopy before year 3; (iv) Contraindications to surveillance colonoscopy at year 3; (v) Advanced comorbid (American Society of Anesthesiologists grade 4 or above); (vi) History of CRC, hereditary polyposis syndrome or inflammatory bowel disease; (vii) History of colectomy at any time point.","18 Years",{"count":58,"type":21},775,"INTERVENTIONAL",[61],"NA","We hypothesize that AI-assisted colonoscopy can reduce post-colonoscopy neoplasia incidence after 3 years, over standard colonoscopy.
