By involving both the pregnant women and partners (who smoke) of pregnant women, our intervention encourages reducing secondhand smoke exposure at home and in the car, through a gradual, capacity and self-efficacy building, structured plan. \"First Breath\" focus on raising knowledge about the health consequences of prenatal secondhand exposure, proposing strategies to avoid exposure, and raising motivation to implement a smoke free home and car. Our intervention also includes personal biochemical feedback to the pregnant women using urine cotinine (a marker of secondhand smoke exposure), and advice on using nicotine-replacemnt therapy within the home setting to avoid smoking.",[27],"Secondhand Smoke Exposure",[29,30],"Prenatal secondhand smoke exposure","Digital behavioral intervention","RECRUITING","2025-09-08",{"date":34,"type":35},"2025-09-12","ACTUAL",{"date":37,"type":35},"2025-03-30",{"date":39,"type":21},"2025-12-01",{"name":41,"class":42},"Hebrew University of Jerusalem","OTHER",1,{"id":45,"slug":46,"hasResults":11,"nctId":47,"briefTitle":48,"officialTitle":49,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":50,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":51,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":54,"briefSummary":55,"conditions":56,"keywords":57,"overallStatus":61,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":62,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":63,"startDateStruct":65,"completionDateStruct":67,"leadSponsor":69,"locationsCount":43},"100568585","effects-of-health-belief-model-interventions-on-preventive-beliefs-in-secondhand-smoke-exposure-100568585","NCT06683144","Effects of Health Belief Model Interventions on Preventive Beliefs in Secondhand Smoke Exposure","Effects of Feedback, Education, and Social Media Interventions Based on the Health Belief Model on Preventive Beliefs in Adults Exposed to Secondhand Smoke At Home.","İnclusion Criteria\n\n* Non-smokers aged 18-64 who live with at least one smoker,\n* Literate individuals,\n* Individuals who own a smartphone,\n* Individuals who voluntarily agree to participate in the study.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Individuals who do not speak Turkish,\n* Pregnant individuals,\n* Participants who have been living apart from SHS exposure sources in the week leading up to data collection.","64 Years",{"count":53,"type":21},93,[24],"The aim of this study was to compare the effects of feedback, interactive education, and social media interventions based on the health belief model on protective beliefs in adults at risk of exposure to secondhand smoke at home.",[27],[58,59,60],"secondhand smoke","exposure","health belief model","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2025-02-12",{"date":64,"type":35},"2025-02-13",{"date":66,"type":21},"2025-06-01",{"date":68,"type":21},"2025-12-10",{"name":70,"class":42},"Akdeniz University"]
