The BRIDGE program focuses on supporting parental psychological distress and improving young children's self-regulation (SR), thereby reducing their attention and behavior problems. The long-term goal of this work is to improve family well-being and social-emotional development for young children by implementing an accessible and scalable dual-regulation program. The investigators will achieve this through the following key objectives:\n\n1. Assess the feasibility and accessibility of BRIDGE for preschool and young children (3-7 years old) with significant attention and behavior programs through questionnaires asking about attendance, satisfaction, and unmet needs.\n2. Examine the efficacy of BRIDGE compared to control group at improving maternal mental health and child attention and behavioral difficulties in young children (primary outcomes). The investigators will also examine parenting stress (secondary outcome).\n3. Identify predictors of academic readiness skills in preschool and young children. The investigators hypothesize that an increase in parental and child emotion-regulation skills and reduced attention, as well as behavioral problems, will lead to increased pre-academic skills in children.",[27,28,29,30,31,32,33],"Maternal Depression","Self-Regulation, Emotion","Child Mental Disorder","Child Development","Attention Problems","Behaviour Problems","Parental Stress",[35,36,37,38],"maternal depression","child attention problems","child behaviour problems","parental stress","RECRUITING","2026-04-02",{"date":42,"type":43},"2026-04-08","ACTUAL",{"date":45,"type":43},"2025-02-01",{"date":47,"type":21},"2027-08-31",{"name":49,"class":50},"McGill University","OTHER",2,{"id":53,"slug":54,"hasResults":11,"nctId":55,"briefTitle":56,"officialTitle":57,"acronym":58,"eligibilityCriteria":59,"healthyVolunteers":16,"sex":60,"minAge":4,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":61,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":63,"briefSummary":64,"conditions":65,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":39,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":70,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":71,"startDateStruct":73,"completionDateStruct":75,"leadSponsor":77,"locationsCount":79},"100499272","investigating-baby-behavior-and-family-technology-use-study-100499272","NCT05781100","Investigating Baby Behavior and Family Technology Use Study","Maternal Technology Use During Feeding and Infant Self-Regulation and Growth","iBaby","Eligibility Criteria\n\nAt the time of recruitment, eligibility criteria for participants will include:\n\n* 18 years of age or older\n* In 3rd trimester of singleton pregnancy\n* History of healthy, low-risk pregnancy\n* Lives within 50 miles of the Cal Poly campus\n* Owns a mobile device\n\nAfter the child is born, eligibility criteria for participants will remain in the study will include:\n\n* Infant was born term (gestational age ≥37 weeks) Exclusion criteria include\n* Mother has an untreated medical or psychiatric condition (e.g. bipolar disorder) that could impede study participation or affect mother-infant interaction\n* Mother is participating in another interventional study that influences parenting, mother-infant interactions, feeding practices, or technology use\n* The mother is unwilling or unable to commit to longitudinal follow-ups of herself or her child\n* Infant was born preterm (gestational age \\\u003C37 weeks)\n* Infant diagnosed with fetal abnormality or medical condition that interferes with oral feeding (e.g., feeding disorder, milk protein allergy) or development\n* Infant diagnosed with developmental delay (e.g., Down's syndrome)","ALL",{"count":62,"type":21},345,[24],"Maternal sensitivity and contingent responsiveness to infant behavioral cues is an important contributor to infants' developing capacities to self-regulate.
