It will also learn whether the program is practical to deliver and acceptable to participants. The main questions it aims to answer are:\n\nDoes CONNECT increase participants' engagement in substance use treatment (such as starting medication for opioid use disorder or therapy for alcohol use), HIV and STI prevention and treatment services (such as starting PrEP or getting tested for STIs), and mental health treatment (such as treatment for PTSD)? Is CONNECT feasible and acceptable for women with a history of sex trafficking?\n\nResearchers will compare CONNECT to usual care to see if CONNECT increases engagement in these health services. The program will be delivered in partnership with a Street Medicine team that provides care directly to unhoused women, with support from a trained care navigator.\n\nParticipants will:\n\nComplete the CONNECT program or receive usual care Work 1:1 with a care navigator who helps with referrals to substance use, HIV\u002FSTI, and mental health services (CONNECT group) Complete assessments at the start of the study and at a 2-month follow-up Answer questions about their substance use, health behaviors, mental health, and use of health services",[26,27,28,29,30,31],"Sex Trafficking","HIV","Substance Use (Drugs, Alcohol)","Mental Health","Sexual Violence","Treatment Engagement",[26,27,33,29,30,31],"Substance Use","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-07-07",{"date":37,"type":38},"2026-07-13","ACTUAL",{"date":40,"type":20},"2026-10-05",{"date":42,"type":20},"2028-06-30",{"name":44,"class":45},"Lifespan","OTHER",1,{"id":48,"slug":49,"hasResults":11,"nctId":50,"briefTitle":51,"officialTitle":52,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":53,"healthyVolunteers":54,"sex":55,"minAge":56,"maxAge":57,"enrollmentInfo":58,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":60,"briefSummary":62,"conditions":63,"keywords":68,"overallStatus":72,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":73,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":74,"startDateStruct":76,"completionDateStruct":78,"leadSponsor":80,"locationsCount":46},"100561235","rigorous-evaluation-of-the-ready-to-stand-curriculum-to-prevent-the-commercial-sexual-exploitation-of-children-100561235","NCT06587529","Rigorous Evaluation of the READY to Stand Curriculum to Prevent the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children","Rigorous Evaluation of the READY to Stand Curriculum as a Tool to Prevent the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children Among Racially and Ethnically Diverse Urban Youth (PHASE III: Quasi Experimental Trial)","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* enrolled in in Grade 9, 10, 11, or 12 at one of the eligible schools in the district\n* able to understand spoken English\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n• enrolled in either of the two schools involved in the corresponding Open Pilot Trial (NCT05988398)",true,"ALL","13 Years","21 Years",{"count":59,"type":20},3218,[61],"NA","The overall goal of the five-year project is to conduct both a process and rigorous outcome evaluation of The Set Me Free Project (SMFP)'s READY to Stand (RTS)© curriculum with an eye toward widespread dissemination to other U.S. communities, if deemed effective. Broadly, the investigators seek to determine the effect participation has on students: reductions in commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) perpetration (the primary outcome); reductions in CSEC victimization, teen dating violence (TDV), and sexual violence victimization and perpetration; as well as increases in bystander intervention in CSEC situations compared to participants in the control condition (secondary outcomes).",[26,64,65,30,66,67],"Sex Crimes","Commercial Sex","Child Abuse, Sexual","Sex Offense",[69,26,64,65,70,71],"Human Trafficking","Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children","Prevention","RECRUITING","2026-01-23",{"date":75,"type":38},"2026-01-27",{"date":77,"type":38},"2024-07-08",{"date":79,"type":20},"2027-08-01",{"name":81,"class":45},"University of Michigan"]
