Standardized smile photographs obtained from children with physiologic spacing patterns will be digitally modified to create different dental scenarios, including variations in interdental spacing, midline deviation, and crown width discrepancies. The images will be presented to adult participants, including dental students and parents, who will evaluate the esthetic appearance of each smile using a visual analog scale (VAS). The study seeks to determine how different spacing patterns and tooth size discrepancies affect the perception of smile esthetics in primary dentition.",[25,26,27],"Smile Esthetics","Interdental Spacing","Esthetic Perception",[29,30,26],"aesthetics","primary dentition","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-04-01",{"date":34,"type":35},"2026-04-07","ACTUAL",{"date":37,"type":21},"2026-04",{"date":39,"type":21},"2026-06",{"name":41,"class":42},"Marmara University","OTHER",{"id":44,"slug":45,"hasResults":11,"nctId":46,"briefTitle":47,"officialTitle":48,"acronym":49,"eligibilityCriteria":50,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":51,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":4,"briefSummary":53,"conditions":54,"keywords":56,"overallStatus":31,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":62,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":63,"startDateStruct":65,"completionDateStruct":67,"leadSponsor":69,"locationsCount":71},"100621552","validation-of-the-french-version-of-the-serqol-questionnaire-100621552","NCT07372105","Validation of the French Version of the SERQoL Questionnaire","Validation of the French Version of the Smile Esthetics-Related Quality of Life (SERQoL) Questionnaire","Periosmile1","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Age ≥ 18 years\n* Patients attending their first periodontal consultation at the oral medicine departments of Rothschild Hospital (AP-HP) or Charles Foix Hospital (AP-HP)\n* Patients who speak and understand French well enough to read and understand the study information sheet.\n* Patients who are informed and do not object to participating in the study\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients under guardianship or curatorship\n* Patients who are completely edentulous, whether the edentulism is compensated or not\n\n * Patients with multiple dental agenesis (more than 6 teeth), amelogenesis, or syndromic or non-syndromic dentinogenesis imperfecta\n * Patients with psychiatric illnesses that may impact body image, such as patients with anorexia-bulimia or body dysmorphic disorder.",{"count":52,"type":21},120,"This observational study aims to validate the French version of the Smile Esthetics-Related Quality of Life (SERQoL) questionnaire in adult patients recruited in two APH-HP dental departments.
