The intervention seeks to reduce stress-related mental health symptoms, including depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress, measured using validated instruments such as the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), the Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7), and the Child PTSD Symptom Scale for DSM-5 (CPSS-5). (See Appendix for full scale descriptions.)

Participants will be recruited from rural middle schools and randomly assigned to either an intervention group or a wait-list control group. The intervention consists of four sessions delivered over one week. Assessments will be conducted at baseline, immediately after the intervention, and again at a 3-month and 6-month follow-ups.

Researchers will use multilevel modeling (MLM) and structural equation modeling (SEM) to examine potential mediators and moderators of intervention effects, including emotion recognition, alexithymia, and coping strategies. indings are expected to provide evidence on the effectiveness and mechanisms of an existing, school-based psychological intervention tailored to the needs of adolescents in underserved rural settings.",[35,85],"Stress-related Mental Disorders",[87,88,89,90,91,92,93],"adolescents","randomized controlled trial","PTSD","depression","anxiety","stress-related mental disorders","rural area","2025-08-04
2025-08-11
2025-05-12
"Peking University",1
"100558927","the-effects-of-mindfulness-based-stress-reduction-program-for-family-or-caregivers-of-children-with-motor-disabilities-100558927","NCT06557486","The Effects of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program for Family or Caregivers of Children With Motor Disabilities","The Effects of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program on the Psychological and Physiological Stress of Family or Caregivers of Children With Motor Disabilities Due to a Neurological Disorder: A Randomized Controlled Trial","Inclusion Criteria:

* Not having attended previously a mindfulness course
* A score equal to or greater than 23 points at the PSS.
* \\>18 years old
* Children <18y with motor/physical disability due to a Neurological disorder.
* Spanish/Catalan speaking

Exclusion Criteria:

* Currently using drugs or any kind of medication related to stress, depression, anxiety or sleeping pills, such as steroid medicines.
* Regular meditation practice (once a week in the past 12 months)
* Diagnose of hypertension stage 2
* Pregnancy in the case of mothers
* Present hyperthyroidism
* Primary adrenal insufficiency syndromes such as Cushing syndrome or Addison disease
* Present any kind of infection or inflammation process, different from the interestingly to the present study that could differ the results
80,[82],"The present study aims to investigate the effect of a mindfulness-based program on perceived stress, severity of anxiety, parents'/caregivers' quality of life and their children, cortisol and IL-6 blood concentrations.",[31,35,115],"Stress","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2024-08-13
2024-08-16
2025-01
2025-06
Universitat de Lleida"]
