Previous studies found that the level of circulating beta-hydroxybutyric acid decreased significantly with age. It has been reported that the ketogenic diet reduces the occurrence of tumors and neurodegenerative diseases in mice, improves motor coordination and endurance, and ultimately extends life span. Current research results have confirmed that ketone bodies have multiple mechanisms to exert beneficial effects on cardiovascular diseases. However, the effect of age-related cardiovascular disease has not been reported.\n\nIn order to further clarify the role of beta-hydroxybutyric acid in age-related cardiovascular diseases, find new intervention targets for elderly cardiovascular diseases, and develop new effective prevention and treatment measures for elderly cardiovascular diseases. We will further investigate this hypothesis by establishing a clinical cohort of the elderly population.",[27],"The Elderly",[29,30,31,32],"ketone ester","the eldly","Senescent T cell","inflammatory factors","RECRUITING","2025-07-23",{"date":36,"type":37},"2025-07-25","ACTUAL",{"date":39,"type":37},"2025-01-07",{"date":41,"type":21},"2025-12-30",{"name":43,"class":44},"First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University","OTHER",1,{"id":47,"slug":48,"hasResults":11,"nctId":49,"briefTitle":50,"officialTitle":51,"acronym":52,"eligibilityCriteria":53,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":54,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":56,"briefSummary":57,"conditions":58,"keywords":61,"overallStatus":33,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":63,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":64,"startDateStruct":66,"completionDateStruct":68,"leadSponsor":70,"locationsCount":45},"100589224","effects-of-pulmonary-rehabilitation-in-salt-chambers-on-functional-efficiency-respiratory-parameters-and-blood-rheology-in-elderly-with-respiratory-diseases-100589224","NCT06951633","Effects of Pulmonary Rehabilitation in Salt Chambers on Functional Efficiency, Respiratory Parameters, and Blood Rheology in Elderly With Respiratory Diseases.","Functional Efficiency, Respiratory Parameters and Blood Rheological Tests in Elderly People With Respiratory Diseases Participating in Pulmonary Rehabilitation in Underground Salt Chambers - a Prospective Experimental Study, Controlled in a Crossover Design","PRSC-FERPBR","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* people aged 65 and older with chronic respiratory diseases in a stable period of the disease (without exacerbations), qualified to participate in a rehabilitation and treatment stay in the underground Health Resort 'Wieliczka' Salt Mine in Wieliczka,\n* patients who gave informed, written consent to participate in the study.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* patients with contraindications to subterraneotherapy and physical exercise,\n* lack of written consent to participate in the study,\n* deterioration of health during the implementation of the program.",{"count":55,"type":21},33,[24],"The aim of the study is to assess the impact of the rehabilitation and treatment stay at the underground Health Resort of the 'Wieliczka' Salt Mine in Wieliczka on the functional capacity, respiratory parameters, and rheological properties of blood in elderly individuals with respiratory diseases.",[59,60],"the Elderly","Respiratory Disorders",[62],"Pulmonary function, speleotherapy, blood tests, 6MWT, chest","2025-04-22",{"date":65,"type":37},"2025-04-30",{"date":67,"type":37},"2025-04-04",{"date":69,"type":21},"2026-02-28",{"name":71,"class":44},"University School of Physical Education, Krakow, Poland"]
