Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) of any rhythm attended by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedics.\n2. Return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) achieved in the pre-hospital setting.\n3. Age ≥16 years and ≤80 years.\n4. Patient remains comatose after ROSC, with Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) ≤8.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n1. Age \\>80 years.\n2. Traumatic cause of cardiac arrest.\n3. The study aims to assess feasibility, fidelity, acceptability, and safety of initiating cooling in the field by emergency medical services (EMS) prior to hospital arrival. Compare executive function, attention, social cognition, behaviour, anxiety, self-esteem, and peer problems between children with NE-TH and matched peers without NE.\n2. Compare brain volumes, cortical and subcortical morphology, white matter microstructure, and myelination between children with NE-TH and matched peers without NE.\n3. Evaluate the associations of perinatal risk factors and structural brain integrity with neuropsychological deficits to inform about the potential aggravating and protective factors for neuropsychological functioning.\n\nParticipants will complete one study visit to perform standardized evaluations and a brain MRI.
